Software Update 2.44.52 (2025 Q3 - HOTFIX)

@enriqueescoms None of those features are available on S9PP with version 2.44.52
Oops! And is it known why?
-
Well, downgrade once again.

The new features like Climb2, the HR band battery percentage display, and the new recovery widget don’t personally compensate for the bugs in this update on the 9PP:
Specifically, there’s the already known non-responsive touchscreen on the navigation screen and the new problem of continuous vibration when the route zoom is set to 50 meters.
Especially since I realized that it is not included out-of-range alarms, interval number, or a countdown timer for structured environments (which I think would be worthwhile).

I fill you… After all these months and (kind of) “updates”, I’m still on 2.40.44 firmware: it is not bug free, but it’s way more reliable than what came later.

My 2 cents: from what I heard, out of range alarms are only a pain for those who have them - both with newer Suunto models and Garmin watches.
None of the bugs introduced or left untouched by the last couple of updates affects my usage, and the new climb guidance has been useful on my recent trail runs, so personally I’m happy to keep this update. I see why other users are unhappy, anyway. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos any news on the Q4 update?
-
@brechtvb Q4 release usually takes place around 18th of december and before
I bet! -
@Wilson75 I hope not…
-
As I have read in the Spanish forum in a few days we should receive an update fixing the issues and some new features (more features for SR2 and SV2) this update is not the Q4.
-
@cosme.costa Cool thanks for the sharing, curious to see what’s coming and what is fixed
btw what is the Spanish forum ? there are other forum for specific languages ? -
@Josaiplu It’s a telegram forum, in Spanish, with some employees helping and giving some hints from time to time. Joaquin Perez is one of the moderators (probably you have seen some videos from him). They do a fantastic job there and the forum is very active. It seems that Spain is one of the largest markets for Suunto.

@cosme.costa Ok yes I was in this group if I remember well, and yes. I look the Video of Joaquim (thanks youtube tranmslation
) there is indeed a lot of spannish people using Suunto on youtube, anyway thanks a lot for sharing the news of the update as I cannot follow a telegram forum in spanish ;)he is doing a fantastic job with these video, best resources ever regarding Suunto on YT ! -
@cosme.costa Hopefully, this new hotfix includes also the 9PP, and it will fix the unresponsive touchscreen on the navigation screen and the continuous vibration when the zoom is at 50m.
(And, just to keep the faith, hopefully it will also bring the out-of-range alarms, interval number, and countdown in structured workouts.)
