A little episode on sleep tracking. This has been the last night for my watch:
What really happened is that I woke up because of a cough coming up. I stood up, went to the bathroom to not disturb my sleeping wife. This is represented by the first of the spikes. Then I went to bed again. A couple of minutes later I felt the coughing coming back, so I stood up again, went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea. Stayed there for almost an hour before going back to sleep again. This timeframe is surrounded by the other two spikes. I needed another half an hour or so to really sleep again.
This can be somewhat seen if we look at the HR at the same time…
At the end I woke up about 08:38. So, currently sleep tracking is very generous and usually overestimates sleep. It has been better in the past…

@2b2bff I haven’t seen those screens before. Where are they in the app? Maybe they’re not available to me because I use a 9PP.

@Dareo iOS app. Sleep per day… But I don’t know what the 9PP limitations are…

@2b2bff Same behavior, perhaps slightly worse on Suunto Run, reported some time ago.

I could not figure out why my sleep tracking was such a mess until I saw this picture. I was looking at the heart rate separately in the heart rate block, but as I look at my heart rate in my sleep tracking I am seeing exactly the same thing. I get why tracking has been so so bad. It’s the OHR.

@Stavrogin ehm, not exactly. Sleep tracking is done only by watching your movement, not your heart rate. HR is tracked the same time, but not taken into account - at least according to the manual…
Maybe it was better if HR is interpreted as well… -
@2b2bff I’m wondering if they are connected with Suunto. I understand what you’re saying but so many people have had issues with Suunto sleep tracking maybe this is the reason we never figured out.

Hi everyone. Yesterday I experienced what I described…on a road bike, and I had a Suunto heart rate monitor, power meter, and live tracking (app) connected, which adds up to three Bluetooth connections…the beeps and alerts kept coming…
Halfway through the ride, after a pause, I decided to leave the live tracking (app). The connection disconnected, and since then, the beeps or alerts have stopped… V2 watch and I don’t have a phantom list of sensors, only a belt and bike power meter.
