      I am a new member to this forum. I have been moving about and reading forum topics I am interested in for a few months now. At different times I have tried to up vote someone’s comment to show my agreement and support to what they have written and submitted.

      But trying to up vote always opens a window with red text that states; “You need 2 reputation to up vote”.

      What does this mean? and
      How does a person get a “reputation”?

      And finally,

      Is there a section of the forum where expected rules, regulations and requirements are written, that a new user can refer to?

      Thanks.

        @gricknw Welcome!
        Sorry, I do not know if those rules are there. Part of the issue with a reputation to vote is to prevent bots in the forum and to ensure that a forum member is planning on communicating and not just downvoting posts (we have had this happen). Posting and commenting will up your reputation quickly.

            Hi,
            same here, a bit confused why I cannot upvote and where to get reputation. It would be maybe enough to change the error message and include how the reputation is gained, or a link to some rules 🙂

              @koivikko there, I just gave you an upvote and you have now 2 reputation in total. That’s how it works for some reason 🙂

                  The reason this happens is because we can avoid unrelevant / bot users spamming the votes.

                  If you post (which you are allowed) you get a couple of votes and then you join the game.

                  Imagine if one would upvote on silly features and be a bot
