Race S reliability

@Goatee before loosing faith I would (if it was mine, in case you haven’t):
1 - soft reset
2 - hard reset
3 - send it for warrantysoftware as bugs and hardware can fail…important is to solve. no hardware is perfect.
-
@André-Faria already soft & hard reset. This is the newer replacement watch as the last one was warrantied a couple of months ago after same issues
-
@Goatee Had 3 crashes last year and nothing this year. No idea why, maybe because I don’t use Suunto Plus anymore.
So you can still hope, but I agree thats a massive lost of trust. Never had something like this before with the older Suuntos and Garmins -
@VoiGAS I always use 3 Suunto made S+ apps on my V2 and never ever had even a single crash since I bought mid October.
-
I’ve had mine since April and have used it in every possible way without the slightest glitch. I used to have an S9, and I sent it in for service 3 times (it was replaced twice).
One more and you’re safe

I had 4 restarts out of the blue. Activities with SuuntoPlus, Activities without, even once in the middle of the night. And I had massive problems using a wall plug in my last holidays, as I have written before.
But all of this is stretched over almost 2 years. So, yeah, I’m still using the watch. But my life does not depend on it…
-
@snow had it from May last year & until June this year it was fab, no issues whatsoever.
Just since June the issues seem to have been.
Updated the app, software, etc, used S+, not used S+, but seems no pattern -
I just experienced my first crash today -
I was using an Interval based on heart rate - the beep stayed on (like 10 seconds) when I went out of the desired HR rate, and there was a huge delay in showing the screen when I raised the watch. The raise to wake got laggier until the watch eventually crashed and restarted.
I only had one Plus app installed (HR Zones) and the interval.
-
@Steven-Hambleton what HR sensor were you using?
-
From the settings in the suunto app, you can send the logs of the watch to suunto. After that you should send an email (from the same email address you used to create your suunto account) to support@suunto.com
Best to it shortly after the crash. And I do have to say, I only get AI generated responses from suunto support lately.
-
@herlas Coospo H9Z - it’s been fantastic since I’ve owned the watch.
