Suunto Run is hopeless as a swimming timer

Suunto Run is useless as an accurate swimming timer as it has a function that automatically locks the watch once the timer has been activated. The timer can only be stopped after the top and bottom buttons are pressed simultaneously to unlock the watch. The timer can only be stopped or paused after that. As a result it is impossible to record an accurate time. The auto lap function is supposed to srt the problem out but it doesn’t help in open water swimming.
