The upcoming night is the seasonal time shift in Germany (from summer to winter time). And tomorrow I want to run a marathon and have to wake up at 6:00am. Does the vertical shift the time automatically in the night or only when it syncs with the app on the mobile phone. I use the alarm from the vertical and have to trust it

If in doubt (and since you asked, you are) better also use a backup alarm.
