      @lexterm77 No argument there. It’s as if Suunto didn’t want our money 🤷

        @dulko79 YMVV. My nearly 3 year old titanium S9B is like new, though admittedly it is almost exclusively used for street and simple trail running, nothing drastic. Only a few weeks of daily wear in total.

        My Fenix 6X Solar has a number of scruffs, mostly invisible, after about 4 months of daily use and training, but this is due to it being silver bezel variant.

        My Vertix Space Gray, on the other hand, has several scratches after just a month of daily use and training. Apparently, DLC isn’t all it’s cracked out to be.

        No, I’m not a person who hits the walls and other obstacles with their watches… On a typical day.

        Bottom line: if you get black or painted titanium, even DLC, expect scratches. Same goes for silver version, but scruffs will be far less visible there. Titanium doesn’t really offer much in terms of protection, more like less weight.

          @surfboomerang

          Grade 5 titanium is referred to oxide content must be less than 0.2% and alloys that do not cause you a skin rash like stainless steel with its nickel, it does not mean it is scratch proof. It is medical grade metal with great anti corrosive properties. If you want less scratches you need heat treatment, which would add to a cost but it is doable if you want to wait and pay minimum charge for a batch which is several times the cost of a watch at your local metal heat treatment plant/forge. 😆

                    @dimitrios-kanellopoulos I think what @lexterm77 is referring to is the same shipping start estimate of June 17, but with no pre-order button in the US or Canada (there’s one in Mexico). Around 7:00 EST there was also “out of stock” shown next to the watch…

                      @nickk I asked for you guys , and the response was that preorders start later in some countries. I don’t know why.

                        @dimitrios-kanellopoulos Much obliged! While we have your attention… Should we expect snap-to-track feature make it to S7 or S9B? Or will it remain exclusive to Peak?

                            @nickk technically it’s portable to the s9b I would assume (remember I don’t work at the watch OS).

                            I have good faith it will.

                                I was pretty amazed when I noticed the first signs of wear 😁

                                  @freeheeler Thanks. Looks great, minor scratches. If it was not black, you would not even notice. 🤠

                                      @wakarimasen well ya, Suunto has always overpriced their offerings on the front end. If I’m not mistaken the Suunto 7 was listed at 500 USD and is now 350 and most reviewers pointed out how 500 was way too high. Even now, you can go purchase the watch that this watch is priced equally at (Fenix 6s), with solar charging and a number of other features mind you, for the same price.

                                      And I get it, people will say that people purchasing these watches have different interests. But I wouldn’t price a watch the exact same as a competitor’s if I didn’t want people to compare the two.

                                        @zrumlow do you consider at all where the watch is produced how , company location etc ?

                                        Sure there are many even bad ways to make a product cheap.

                                        In the end, I am one of these people that I suppose raise the price ? Right ?
