Suunto 9 Peak

@sartoric yes - it was a bit tight Just got it a few minutes before the pictures and I still āstruggleā which hole in the strap to choose. But I like the new āpinā to fix the strap - kept it a bit looser on short first test walk. Really very readable display and almost not noticeable on the wrist!
-
Looks realy Ā«Ā miniĀ Ā» this new peak ! It must be bizar in the first times. We got used to having Ambits, Spartans or S9 at wirst but in there are thick.
Tell me: if i link a S9P with my SA, will i lose my customs sport mode ?
Can i create a new custom sport mode if i havenāt a Suunto watch linked to SA ? -

Yes

No
And if your watch is busy syncing or so SA warns you that you that your watch is busy and you canāt save your sport mode customizations.

@chrisa The new pin at the strap doesnāt function so well with bike mount. Itās hard to push the pin on the hole and it to stay there during rides.
Wondering how Suunto planned this to be used? Or do I just need separate straps.
I think I got my first excuse for shopping -
@s1ngletracker
I might be oddā¦ but I prefer my watch on my wrist. Itās just a feeling, but I think itās less likely that it gets damagedā¦
ā¦nice bike, what I can see! ā¦ by the way -
A small remark, when pushing down to see the HR on the watch, there is of course a delay before getting the first correct value.
On S9Baro I think that we had something visual to tell that watch was searching for the HR, in the current version of S9P, it is not the case (but the case for SpO2). -
@v-sacre
the heart icon with a running circle during the search, yes.
Speaking about the delay: would it be possible to flip thru the screens more flowy? when I scroll down it always stops at the HR for few seconds before I can fluently scroll further down. -

Is this due to animations?
Right now it is the only point I find in the watch a bit annoying, in some circunstances I find it āslowā.
I remember in android times there was a trick to disable animations and make it faster, I hope that is āpossibleā on the suunto s9p.
Or we are on the limit of the hardware? -
@andrƩ-faria delays are longer than in S9b?
-
@s1ngletracker put some force
According to our ext tester Tomasz

I never had S9Bā¦
But compared to FR45,245 and F6S it is slower.
It is the only thing in the watch that to me doesnāt feel premium.
But yeah, no big issue, just my feedback. -
just now, on the train, Iām doing a test of the OHR at rest.
i measure by hand and with a chronometer 41 pulsations per minute and the watch gives me between 78 and 82ā¦
second test, I measure 40 and the watch goes down to 42 and then goes back to 67ā¦
third test,
iām 42 and the watch goes down at the end of 42 after staying at 55.
And my SpO2 at 71% or not working
so randomā¦ -

seems to be double.Sure you counted correctly? When I sit in the train I would be almost sleeping or dead at a pulse of 41ā¦
Or are you a marathon world record racer?Random results should not happen - have you checked the recommendations for proper wearing of the watch? Strap tightness, skin color or tatoos?
-
@frederick-rochette you have it toooooo tight then or too low.
-
@frederick-rochette also try cleaning the LEDs just in case.
Btw 40 resting hr in the middle of the day I bet you must be Killianās brother.
-
@freeheeler No odd at all.
I like to see and follow the route and other info from the watch during ride so I donāt want to release my hand from the handlebar to do that.
But of course the commonly intended place for the watch is on you wrist -

have you tried with some lubricant?
-
@zhang965 me ? I never leave home without my lubricant. You never know what happens.
-
Explanatory comment to my previous post. I was in the store today and compared the displays of others S9P. It turned out that this model has such a display. I mean backlight has a slightly pink tint. It is not visible when we are outside but it is noticeable in the low light conditions.
Is it a defect? I do not think so.
Maybe Iāve been working with colors too long
Anyway first run tomorrow, yeah! -
@s1ngletracker agree when it comes to pushing the pin into the holes. It looks much more elegant though
