@dimitrios-kanellopoulos said in Suunto 9 Peak:

@mff73 yes but mind the activity capacity.

Some people abuse this function to record like 200h of data. The watch can hold up to ~50h of 1s data (belt pods etc).

I currently have about 78 hours of training data with 1s gps data and until now no unit has been overwritten in the logbook.
It seems that the memory is enough for more than 50h 1s of gps data.

Is it normal that field for burned calories counts on even when recording activity (Trekking) is on pause?

@uranfl the watch keeps tracking your HR also during a pause. Actually it keeps tracking GPS and altitude too.

@isazi 😮 I always thought it stopped GPS tracking and thus saving battery. But it isn’t?
If I recall correctly, this was the case on the Ambit series.

@isazi that is understandable, but when you pause activity the watch should stop counting burned calories

@isazi that’s different logic than in A3P which I am used to. It sounds more reasonable to count burned calories while exercising (moveing) than during 2 hour rest on the summit…

Activities calories count includes also basal calories, because are calories actually burned during the exercise.
If you need to recovery it, you need to know you’ve burned it 🙂

@uranfl during pause all calcs are stopped but the hr is still there. That’s all.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Think recovery time counts up during pause. Is that expected regular behavior?

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos than it is new in sw. I noticed it 2 months ago. I ran two hours. At the end with higher hr so that hr was in the beginning of the pause a little a. I also have a data field for recovery time, which I can’t see in pause. The pause at the end was 10 min and after the pause the data field was definitely higher. So it counted up. Usually there is no noticeable count if hr in pause is low, so no recovery is needed. If you do longer workouts with higher hr the pause hr can be high and then count in data field is seen after pause… behavior ob S9B. I think correctly there shouldn’t be a count in pause.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos tried it today again. S9B is counting up recovery time during pause. Can be easily reproduced with harder workouts and recovery data field. Just take a pause after workout for 10-15 min and check data field before / after pause.

Hi, I have a question… Is resolved stuck while saving activity in suunto 9 peak? I have SSU and this issue is very annoying (feeling option on doesn’t help). Because of this, i’m thinking about upgrade to S9P.
