@Tieutieu
the maps in the watch are not the same as the maps in SA, they are optimized and by my understanding with a lot of effort.
as usual, there’s no scheduleOk thanks, I knew they where « optimized » but I had imagine they were updated at a similar rythm than OSM.
-
@freeheeler this sounds like some poor guy has to manually do all the work I hope they get to the point that they have an algorithm for optimizing that is fast enough to periodically (at least weekly) check and optimize maps and then push it to SA
-
@Tieutieu not for now, but the backend for faster map updates, an update process that will not require you to delete and download again the whole map, is being worked on.
-
@Tieutieu how do you add such informastion on OpenStreepMap?
-
@Stefan-Kersting
with a report directly to them

https://www.openstreetmap.org/fixthemapExactly. It is very easy to contribute. You easily can import a gps track and use it as a layer to correct existing map or add new objects (tracks, roads….)
-
@Tieutieu Imagine if we could do that from Suunto App directly

I really think that is not so easy and imho not necessary. Just load the workout (not route!) as track on OSM and edit the map.
With the GNSS accuracy of the SV this is great.

Sure, it’s just some more steps but a man can dream

OMS is independent. And the fonctionnalities are quit « rich » : drawing and correction tools, attributes of objects (type, wide, ground, privacy…,.) IMHO it entirely justifies a dedicated interface.
I’d rather love SA to improve routes planning, for instance I would love that « when a track doesn’t exist on OMS, use the average path of heat maps to draw the route « . -

That would be great indeed!

Big survey just popped up to Vertical owners in SA, mostly about customer evaluation so far and about wishes for future functions/development.
-
@dulko79 any highlights?
-
@DMytro HRV measurement!?!?!?
-
@GiPFELKiND this will for sure come to SV and s9pp
-
@DMytro I didm’t find anything new, mostly feedback from customers and rating of future functions already mentioned in previous surveys.
-
@DMytro hi, how do you know that?
-
@rooldaa bc SV and s9pp have almost the same sensor, so if SV gets it, so will S9pp. Suunto has been promising HRV in earlier polls, more than a year ago, so this will definitely come. Especially since it’s already in sportstracker.
-
@DMytro yeah, makes sense

I think we all know you want this, no need to keep reposting it every opportunity. It’s been stated numerous times that Suunto have this box well and truly ticked
