Suunto Vertical is here

@altcmd difficult to say, I get used to the weight pretty fast, but if I put one on a wrist and the other on another wrist, I can feel one is heavier. But it’s not a blind test, I know one is heavier, so it may just be bias.
 -
@isazi I know. Just that I have had difficulty with heavier watches in the past, more so during sleep. I think I’ll just try them both and make the decision accordingly.
 -
@altcmd I have been wearing the titanium more, also for sleeping, it is quite comfortable. But, except for testing, I do not sleep with a watch anymore.
 -
@isazi Its quite liberating right? And to keep all the electronic devices out of the bedroom… the best sleep

 -
@Hristijan-Petreski yes, I also keep my phone in another room at night. I wear the watch if I need an alarm though, so I do not wake up my partner.

At least they could make an exception for The Suunto Community Forum users…

This would be great!

So what’s the point to have 24/7 HR setup if pros are not using it?

 -
@Jugger I think they will make some changes to Suunto app to make this data available.
 -
@Jugger the pros also don’t use HR or sometimes a watch even
 -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I know many professionals who use hr in training. I don’t know anyone in competition

 -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I was just kidding. I know most active people are not so dependent on extra equipment.
I had 9 Baro which I used all the time. I got used to while sleeping. Then came Peak. Now I will get Vertical so I’m wondering is there big difference in everyday use. Hopefully next week I get the answer.
 -
@Jugger I can only provide anecdotal experience, based on what I’ve seen after having the 9 Baro, 9 Peak Pro, and now the Vertical.
The 9 Baro measured my sleep very nicely, almost spot on in terms of falling asleep and wakeup times, as well as accurately capturing what I felt my Resources to be. I was very happy with it.
The 9 Peak Pro didn’t do well at all with sleep, and that was the only disappointment I had with it functionality-wise. It would vastly undercount my sleep duration (as in, it was commonly saying only 4-5 hours, when reality is 7-7.5). And that massively impacted my Resources data … it was common for me to see 30ish Resources upon wakeup even after a good night’s sleep.
The Vertical is more comfortable to wear than the 9 Baro during sleep, and at first, it was a little less comfortable compared with the 9PP, but I got used to the Vertical pretty quickly. And, more importantly, the sleep measurements are lots better for me than the 9PP was … theyre very close to what I had from the Baro, which always seemed superbly accurate.
Hope that helps, at least with the sleeping comparisons.

@Tieutieu bikeinn has them in stock, mine will be shipped today, so if anyone is not patient like me, try there
 -
@vlado if you get your watch before May the 16th, please be aware release software is not final, it will only be after the 16th.
 -
@vlado I didn’t read so many positive feedback about “xxxinn”, so I never trusted to buy there.
 -
@renton82 i bought there once couple of months ago, did not have any issues, let’s hope it stays like that

Already bought there lots of time never an issue. My issue was just with gls at the time.
 -
@André-Faria good to know! However, i have already placed order on Suunto Shop.
 -
@isazi How is it possible for them to send the watch before Suunto does? Is Suunto sending the watches with beta firmware to those retailers?
 -
@surfboomerang I suppose so, remember that first leak/picture from that austrian shop…Watch is out, it does not matter at this point who sends it first
