To those who are getting their watch today. Please make some comparison shots with S9B. I haven’t seen such pictures in the reviews so far…
I’ll do that…but only if I really get it today !!
Here it comes !!
I’ll take time to unbox and start it properly !! It’s just a beauty !
One thing I know I’ll love for sure are buttons ! no more accidental pushings !! -
@mikeorbreak Hope this comparison helps!
-
quickly start the clock the training is already waiting
-
Faster please faster I want to try it
-
@TrailEyes this helps a lot and looks really good! + it’s the same S9B as mine…
-
@jw-cou the green is one of the best looking combo.
-
Maps are downloading too here !
So I guess it’s time for a question => how do map’s updates will work ?
When a region is uploaded into the watch, does it receive then OTA updates ?Mat
-
@Tieutieu update to maps will become better with a future firmware release, for now you would need to remove and download again the whole map (as far as I know).

Ok thanks ; it makes sense !
-
Correct me if I am wrong but no Strava segment at this stage ?
-
@v-sacre still beta, will be enabled I guess when all other watches are updated.
-
@isazi Are you aware of any incompatibilities with WiFi6 routers? For example whatever I do I cannot add wifi to the watch. The router in question is Fritz 6690 with same name for the 2.4 and 5 wifi.
-
@Hristijan-Petreski I do not remember all wifi compatibility stuff, I think the chipset on the watch is 2.4 only but I am not 100% sure.
-
does anyone have any idea why the update won’t start?
-
@isazi Ok so I found the issue that no other device had it In the name of my wifi I have an apostrophe (') (yeah I am that weird). Removing it from the ssid the watch connected. Again it is the only device that has not connected so far so I guess its a bug
-
@Hristijan-Petreski I reported to Suunto that the manual lacks a wifi info page on compatibility.
-
@Hristijan-Petreski can you send logs and send me a PM? I’ll open a bug with Suunto.

Got it. First impression: Oh my god this charging puck is crap (like 9pp). Second impression: Oh my god I love this display. Third impression: Oh my god I love those buttons. Finally no clicking sound like a cheap computer mouse.
-
ready to go. First settings done.
- pairing very easly, synchro much quicker than my S9B, works fast, no lags in menus, screen very readeable (luminosity to minimum), widget can easily be reorganised in SA by drag and move, awesome buttons and design…
Localization on my phone was needed to activate first maps download (and was supposing it could be necessary to be activated for sync), but then I desactivated it and it seems it works fine.
Lets run a few km to test it !!

@wmichi Very strange these charging cables. My previous one with S9PP was really poorly magnetic.
The one I juste received with the Vertical seems better.
