Suunto Vertical: Bug Collection

@Iggge
I would try a soft reset (and check the app)
mine works as usual -
@sartoric Yep, a soft reset and a reconnect to the app did the trick. Works now
-
After the new update I have some minor problems with the step counter.
My Vertical shows 9286 steps. The watch have been on my left arm all day.
My phone shows 14800, and I have not had the phone it my pocket 100% of the timeBefore the update my watch and phone did show almost the same step, with the Suunto showing about 1000 steps more at most
-
@Iggge Iād rather have āreal activeā steps than every movement counting as a step. This has been great on the race and now I guess on the vertical. Youāll have much more pragmatic steps and not swinging arm or barely moving around counted as a step.
-
@EzioAuditore Sometimes is works perfect now and sometimes I walk ānormalā with little hands swing and it does not count anything. But at least it doenst count when I take hands up or brush tooths.
-
@EzioAuditore Well, I have been hiking with a 15 kg backpack and 200 meter elevation, so I would say that would be nice lf it counted that.
Problem is that when I am hiking I like to hold on my backpack with my hands(As alot of other people do to) and when I do this the watch donāt count any steps at all. It did before as any other watch.
Other than this I have found 0 bugs with the update.

it seems that since last update:
lost tactil for sometimes, like the watch was hanging somehow.
i did notice battery drainage again . i list 20% in 2 days. i have registered ~5hours ouf outdoor exercise. i think the drainage is too much.
in watch mode I am loosing 5% or more a day.Very happy qbout the update, climb mode is extremely cool. may be a even better integration eoth the map (display the new notifii tooth display woth the xolor of the current climbā¦)
new watxh face, better fluidity etc.I may do a soft reset. just to be sure i donāt have a process in back ground draining the battery. may be the new watch face and complications combines cause more battery drainage?
thank you

@Antoine-Lancrenon
There 's no need to multiple post.
Someone will reply if there is any suggestion (check the other thread) -
@sartoric sorry about that, I saw the other thread was much more activeā¦ I will use the other thread.
thank.you

My app show planned route Ascent is 131m, Descent 80m but my watch show Ascent 32,896m and Descent 9,924m.
Why so big difference? -

ha ! just realized that too. Yesterday my watch just said low battery, I was a bit surprised but it looks like there is something wrong here.

@Mff73 thanks !

There is probably a bug here, when doing roller, the watch does not get the altitude difference. On approximately the same path, I have 34 meters of descent/ascent while 0 descent and 3m ascent in roller mode.
-
@darxmurf
do you mean roller skate?I do the same path, roundtrip, and I get 69/71

I own a Vertical for almost 1 year now. I have created some custom sport modes for running.
When I start a new activity using any of those custom modes, the battery mode is always set to ācustomā, even if I 100% of the times change it back to performance.
I would say it should remember the last selected mode.
Also, this is how my S9B works, and never ever had an issue.
Of course I have soft rebooted the watch a couple of times.
This has been the behaviour sinceā¦forever. Definitely not something from the last update(s).
This is really frustrating.
Any idea of what could be? Or is this because of the custom sport modes?
Many thanks. -
Two times in last 3 days, my vertical did not save gps data. Distance was 0.00km, map was drawing my route, speed/pace was ok, but in the end no gps track and 0 diatance. Basic running and stand up paddling mode. Anyone else with that problem? I already reported to Dimitros and sent logs.
-
@Likarnik
no such pb here (yet ) (to answer your question ), but, out of curiousity, how are looking those two activities, in the SV logbook, in SA after sync (if synced) ? -
@Mff73 first (running) activity has everything, duration, elevation data, power, pace, hearr rate, steps,ā¦ I also parsed .fit file, and there is no gps data, but everything else is ok. Wierd thing is that I used map on my way back to follow exact route. I deleted second activity and started again as I noticed as soon as I started padeling. Second time it was as usual.
-
@Likarnik
ok. If you have android phone, you could potentially export the watch raw file for this running activity, and check if there are some GPS data inside.
Good luck to understand what happened.
