Same experience here…I need to charge my S9B days earlier as prior.
Executed the recommendattion, drain battery to 0%, charge to 100% and do a soft reset (what appereantly has to be done after every update).
Feels liek a slight improve but not major…Anyone has the same experience after the update?
-
@Umer-Javed @@DIMITRIOS KANELLOPOULOS
I did the recalibration, and see a slight improvement. Still battery consumption is way higher as previously.
Looking at some more comments here, I do not think I am the only one.Are we planning to do a fix/update on this?
Thanks.
-
@BertGe do you have standby turned on? Backlight setting changed in this update, maybe it’s related.
-
Today was a crash in my S9 when i was doing a circuit training. No apps and no guide enabled.
i dont know if somebody is working on bugfixes for the older watches, as the vertical has so many problems at the moment.
But i just want to mention it -
@StefanoMorgan Send logs to Suunto and let someone know (either the official support or some of the users here like @isazi or @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos ?). My S9 already crashed like 8 times with the current firmware
-
Yes for my S9P (non-Pro) Strava Segments also not yet working.
I already try to re-install Strava, SA and unstar/ re-star segments but it does not work for my S9 Peak both IOS and Android. I also have Suunto 9 and it work well with the phones, So I think the problem comes from the S9P
-
@BertGe if not already, try a reset as well. Holding top button down until watch vibrates and resets (~10 seconds)
With the 1-sec 24h HR tracking the watch is hungrier now.
-
S9 Peak, current firmware. Crash during first minute of the run (no apps, no guide) after pop up massage with battery status (notification 40% battery left). I just pressed the middle button to get rid of the message and watch went back into home screen -> workout lost.
-
@tomkys do you mean the “training soon” message? That’s really early when 40% is still left
-
I had a crash on Thursday with Aerobic Decoupling app. Is it still worth sending logs, even though I’ve run several runs since then? I won’t have access to Windows with SuuntoLink until this day…
-
@jussim You can send logs from the Suunto app as well. In Android version, you can touch the black watch icon on the top right, then three dots and there’s “Send logs to Suunto”. iOS must have this as well…
-
Yes, it is on. But I had it on previously as well, so there is an increase.
I expect the same functionlity / use of the watch as per the same settings…Update should be an increase… not descrease -
@jussim It is helpful to send logs as soon as you can after the crash. If over 24h the logs will be overwritten so send within 24h and you can PM me here with the time the crash occurred and your Suunto app username.

Dear @jussim
Just be aware that someone who asks your suunto data might not be a Suunto employee, and they are out of EU so they don’t need to respect the EU data regulation specially if you are european user.
And please be sure that you have any proof that they create the Bug report based the correct watch model, as we know someone is too stupid to identify the watch model.
If any data leak occurred on this part, Suunto is not responsible for it.
Welcome to suunto community.

Dude you’re boring but you’re starting to be offensive. So please stop it now.
-
@sartoric sry m8, yes he is harsh, but he is always spitting out facts. I thing suunto should do something about all those bugs and then there will be no need for these kind of messages. Not all people are willing to spend so much on half baked product and then get ignored by company, sorry.

Dear Moderator,
Are you here to tell us how Suunto deal EU user data outside of EU?
If not, please go away, I have nothing to do with you.
-
@Likarnik
Just to be crystal clear,
No one here has never ever been muted for telling what he think, and this will never change as far as I can tell.
There is just one indisputable rule here, to be respectful of other members, so what I’m referring to is that boring, unpleasant and useless bullying like this :And please be sure that you have any proof that they create the Bug report based the correct watch model, as we know someone is too stupid to identify the watch model.
clearly referring to Brad
if you do it once it can be a (questionable) joke, twice is boring, the third time is annoying.Dear @zhang965 we’ve already been through this, if you think you’re funny, I don’t care. But you’re not.
I’m not a Suunto employee or Suunto lawyer and if you want to know Suunto privacy policy go read the website disclaimer or ask them directly.@zhang965 said

Dear God, thank you.

No, he is not harsh, he is a troll and a sad human being.

To be clear as ignorance is not truth. I do not receive any data. Your logs are sent directly to Suunto. What I ask for is what all here will ask that can file bug reports. The date and time logs are sent, the exact time of a crash if you have that and your Suunto app username as it may be different than the forum username. So no data. Don’t let those who are ignorant spread fear and lies. We have plenty of politicians that engage in this. Also, UK is not part of the EU either:)
