Is there an application that can give us an estimate time to finish a course based on a combination of the type of course (according to the map) and current running pace
Of course, this is in the case that we are training according to a route entered into the watch ahead of time -
@Danny-poleg there are two data fields you can add: ETA and ETE. Those will make predictions about the time till the end of route or next waypoint but will take only your current pace into account. Not the terrain ahead.

@Danny-poleg Suunto does not do this but Garmin has a feature that will “pace” you for the entire race taking into account elevation changes, the predicted finish time and how much you slow down over the course. I can see how this could be useful but I tried this for a couple of ultras and found it takes the fun out of racing for me. I was almost always ahead or behind of my predictions. I think for road events it would be ok. I stopped using it and don’t this this level of direction is necessarily worth the effort
If you generally run roads I could see how this could be helpful but I prefer simply assessing my avg pace.
