What do you expect from the next update?
-
Fully expect new bugs and uglier interface as every update since I bought the watch a year ago. Is it possible to turn off auto updates for the watch? The new rolling interface is so much worse than before, and really ugly
-
@stromdiddily I turn it back on manually each night along with sleep and VO2 before I go to bed, I manually turn it off through the day

Yeah that sounds miserable LOL
Your original post was to be able to disable 24/7 OHR but still measure sleep, I guess I’m asking doesn’t the watch need OHR to properly measure sleep?
And if yes, question is, how would it know to do so automatically?
-
@stromdiddily maybe by allowing to sett a time that it should automatically turn on and off. Kinda like being able to set up a time for do not disturb mode.
-
@Arju-Ambin this would be great, I would use this for sure!
-
@stromdiddily I don’t believe the OHR is used to detect sleep. It would only be needed for resting HR and overnight HRV
-
Option to increase font size for better visibility and readability of menus and data on a small screen.

Now that I am regularly doing structured running workouts, more than ever, I pray that rep counter at least will come some day….
At this point Bip countdown to next step would be bonus… -
@Niclas-Brundell Yes, we know that when it comes to taste there are as many colors as asses, but for me it was also a step backwards in terms of design.
The thing is that I only had the pleasure of suffering with it for 3 days, until I got tired of the problems with the OHR and downgraded to the previous version. But I have little desire when the next update comes.

I totally agree. In fact, I have been asking for it, just like you and many others. On more than one occasion I have not been able to fully recommend Suunto watches to my colleagues precisely because of this.
It is something that is apparently easy to implement, but which Suunto has been ignoring for years in an incomprehensible way.
-
A great one would be a suunto plus to be abe to activate trhow the watch, the current position tracking of whatsapp to a pre-defined contact. This is really usefull, forexample, if you are doing a long ride and want to advise family 1h before finishing that you are comming and they can calculate estimated arrival monitoring the position.

@Tieutieu From what I have read in the Spanish forum, this will come and soon.
From what I have read and deduced there are several nice updates to come in structured workouts, multiple sensors, navigation and swimming. They didn’t provide or leak any dates.
-
I hope they don’t include regressions, as happened with the last one and sleep tracking…
-
@jsuarez What do you mean with regressions?
As far as I know sleep tracking is a bug, in which they are working on and a solution will come soon.

Which forum is that, if I may ask?
-
@Stoke80 Suunto’s Telegram forum for the Spanish community, it is moderated by people working at Suunto.

Automatically update altitude based on GPS data and don’t rely on the barometer and the user having to do the update. Not rocket science to implement is it.
-
Better support for dinghy sailing. At the moment you have to use the basic app then the My sailing App and stop the thing via the basic app. It’s all very awkward and clumsy.
-
@cosme-costa Thank you. Unfortunately I am not on Telegram
-
What do I expect? The usual: Better testing that leads to fewer bugs and elimination of bugs and inconsistencies mentioned in the forum or elsewhere by the users.
