@ppresing The rotating crown sometimes has less lift when I press it. I only can faintly feel the small moving when pressure on it. When I lift it up, I can again feel more movement when pushing, just like when I first used it…
    Does anyone have such experiences?
My problem is the same and thanks for redirecting to this thread. I have never bathed or showered with the watch on, and it happens to me in the morning when I get up or during the day, as you also write. And a gentle pull out helps, then the clicking resumes.

Has this happened to you as well?

      SOLUTION 2.0

Began experiencing the same “silent” or “soft” click with my 6 month-old Race. Took a sterile, individually wrapped alcohol pad and slipped it in the open spaces around the crown to give good rub. The crown is again clicking as it did when new.

There was no visible debris or other markings on the alcohol pad after the cleaning, so I’m unsure what the issue may have been. Regardless, my Race now functions as expected.

@Kristijan-Matulić Hi all - I had the same problem - and I have just tried compressed air, the same stuff I use for my computer keyboard, iPhone charging point, etc., - and it seemed to improve the clickiness.

Reading this I understand that this is not important at all but I’m curious about this.
That clickiness is happening only in the steel wheel or in both steel and titanium wheels?

Hello! It happened to me and my titanium unit.
            3 months later :()
Tried pure isopropanol, then 99,9% methanol, after that also tried soft aliphatic dearomatized solvent, if grease should be eliminated by solvents. But nothing works, even WD40 did nothing.
It is quite annoying sensation of downgrade from physical click to “digital” one.

Was reasonable-happy, but now I’m ultra-dissapointed with this investment. Only 3 months of careful use…

as I’ve probably already said, be careful using isopropyl alcohol or any solvent on gasket.

crown clickness on my Race comes and goes, when it was new it clicked hard, then softer, once disappeared, but then recovered to disappear again … at the moment it is soft clicking pleasantly, changes seem to be unrelated to any external cause to me, I manage the Race quite carefully, never put it into water, my sport activity is moderate, so the crown isn’t solicited that much …

                  @Stefano-M64 polar opposite for me😀

I’ve worn my SS Race 24/7 since I got her in January so she’s in the shower every day, been swimming in the sea many times & on my wrist at work.

I work in the telecoms industry so she finds herself thrust into shit filled underground chambers all the time & then washed off with industrial strength hand cleaner & wet wipes…

She’s still like the day I got her in both appearance & crown ‘clickiness’, seems tough as old boots to me & I seriously couldn’t be happier with her (even more so after yesterdays awesome update).

                    Thanks,
I was encouraged by previous posts and some knowledge in solvents, sealing and cleaning agents, also, my post should warn all unlucky customers… if this happens - nothing will back your click again :()

Had my Race S for almost 3 weeks now. I’m not sure if it’s always been like this, but my top button is way clickier than the bottom button, which feels soft and a bit muffled (not as satisfying).

Even my crown feels clickier than the bottom button, i wonder if there’s any way to recover the clickiness, or if it came out of the box that way!

Hello, Race friends. I know it’s an old topic but if you permit me I’ll use it to ask my question here.
It’s been a while since my Race all black lost the clickiness of the crown button. Also due to that the movement of the crown when you push it I has become kind of shorter. The Race is hands down my favorite watch ever. But this hardware issue has been getting on my nerves for a while now and I’d like to have it resolved.
I’ve tried to submerge the watch in lukewarm water but no change whatsoever.
Has anyone tried sending in the watch for repair? Does Suunto repair this kind of problem? Does the problem reappear after a while?
Yesterday I bought a brand new SV, so I can afford to spend some time without my favorite watch.
                        Thank you.

I own my Race for more than one year, its clickness comes and goes, sometimes is softer others stronger, now it is quite strong.
I never did something to improve or recover the clickness, have no idea why it behaves that way, but at the end I just don’t care

Happened to me a few times. I solved it with alcohol prep pads. Just slide it carefully between the crown and the watch body and rub few times.

On my Race the clickiness seems to be irreversibly gone. No clickiness and the movement is sort of shallow. Tomorrow it will be picked and delivered to the repair center in Slovenia. Let’s see what they’ll do.

@General_Witt yep, I have the same issue, feels weird when you push the button and you have to double check that it actually did anything.
Also other slight issues, an orange glow at the edges of the amoled display sometimes.
Charging… sometimes doesn’t charge when you put it on the magnetic charger

@Highlands My Race got replaced with a new one (under warranty) which I got on Tuesday. Went pretty fast. Everything’s going great with my new Race.
