Software release 2.30.26

@jjpaz
Frankly, I don’t think so. In fact, I’m convinced they don’t.
The cursor (HRV, CTL, TSB, etc.) on the watch’s screens points towards the centre of each zone without any further interpretation. -
@Mff73 this is very useful, I also noticed it but did not remember if it’s new
-
Found a HR Bug with the new update. As seen above in the picture, my Heart rate never show correct value before 1 km. Always at exactly 1 km mark the HR is starting to work.
I am using a Polar H10 pulse band. Wrist HR off
-
@Iggge
Are you sure that wrist HR is really off? -
@Mff73 Yes, i am 100% sure.
-
I don’t want to open a separate thread, but I am curious. Today is the second time where the watch is quite slow when it’s cold outside. I’ve returned home from a walk and the watch was almost unresponsive, navigating within the menu was super slow, really laggy and display brightness didn’t turn off at all. After a few minutes it started to behave normally again. The same thing happened already a few days ago. Anyone else noticed something like that? Or maybe I’m just being paranoid…
-
@tomasbartko Should not happen, I have used mine a lot for SkiMo and have not noticed slowing. At least down to -10C.

hello community,
I have noticed that my wrist HR accuracy was really impacted by the cold weather outside. Last time I have run was <0 Celsius. It took almost 20 minutes for the watch to have realistic bpm. it was almost 30 bpm higher. Once I have cover my watch under the sleeve and wait, I got much better results. but still, we come back to the fact that we need a breast HR sensor to get better results but until now I was very happy with wrist readings, only few hiccups, but now, last 2 run, it was off 30% of the time…
This is only a theory, I had tendency to pointed the new firmware responsability, but the cold weather got in the city at the same time (Montréal Canada :-))
what do you think?
-
@Antoine-Lancrenon I use mittens/gloves to keep hands warm and minimize changes in skin blood flow caused by cold weather and hence minimize impact on wrist OHR-sensor.
While running, besides SV with wrist OHR-enabled, I use Runtastic app with Polar H10 chest HR-monitor as an independent ‘source of truth’ (and “just in case”).
As a result, I have identical values of ‘Avg Heart Rate’ and almost the same ‘Max Heart rate’ values.
E.g., below are screenshots from Suunto App and Runtastic taken for a run that took place 3 days ago at -5 C and wind 6 m/s.
-
@Brad_Olwin not sure why this is happening, but I will keep observing it. Maybe it’s not the cold temperature, but something else. Was just wondering if someone experienced the same.

Hi, I have a new Vertical. Slept with the watch yesterday. And at night I got a notification that I’ve been sitting for a long time and it’s time to move If it was mentioned here, I’m sorry.
So tonight (almost morning) the same. Time to move…
-
For ohr issues it can be the case of lower temperatures
-
@Iggge Above all, I think you’ve found a bug on your Polar H10 belt, which wasn’t positioned correctly, or wasn’t damp enough, or didn’t have enough battery…
If you’re in the northern hemisphere and it’s cold, this is a classic case. You don’t sweat as much as when it’s hot, and the belt can’t measure your heart rate properly because of a lack of humidity.
-
@Arnaud-LECLÈRE I altso thougt that my Polar belt was defect. So i changed battery and all the other things. Same results.
So it’s not the belt, but the software. Worked perfect with the old software, and still works great with other brands. -
@Iggge we didn’t change anything on the belt stuff.
However, keep in mind that Suunto watches use RR not the simple value of HR if the value supports it. Strava app for example only uses HR.
So wet / lube the pads , reset the belt via inserting the battery vice versa and put a new battery.
-
@Iggge I had similar problem few months ago with my H10. I changed the strap, and everything is good again.
-
@Iggge Can you try the H10 belt with two watches at same time (H10 has dual Bluetooth channel)?
When the straps are worn out that behavior is very typical: bad measures and spikes at the beggining of the activities until the strap is warm. -

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos / @Iggge
may i dare probably a silly idea ? Yes i mayWe and Suunto know that the WristHR toggle in activity sports mode is buggy (not effective in battery custom mode). In theory, BT HR belt should take the priority of connection at activity start over the wrist HR.
But, in this case, could one imagine that the activity begins to track HR with wrist HR and then switch to BT belt ? -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I will try it indoors, and see if I notice anything different.
I’ll try it again on the other watch to see if there is something with the belt, or the watch -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Hi!
I resently got the vertical and this is my 2nd update. But this time it just doesn’t work: I downloaded named version, but the watch still has 2.25.66 after an error 1403,1403 after/during installing. And now I can’t install 2.30.26 because the watch says ‘watch is up to date’
I can’t find any solution to my problem and already made soft- and setting resets and on the watch, reinstalled the App too. No success here…
Maybe you or somebody has a clue what I can do?!thx, Sascha
