    Hi,

    There is a catch 22 with the Suunto Vertical for WiFi and map download.

    I started downloading a map at home, then I travelled so I’m at another WiFi location. But now I can’t connect to WiFi in the app because “map is being downloaded”, but map is not downloaded because I can’t connect to the new WiFi

    I tried cancelling the download of the map but the behavior is the same since it appears the app needs to delete the map that’s been downloaded but we need WiFi for that

    What should I do? This is incredibly upsetting since I’m in another country and I can’t download or use the map

    Thanks for any tips or suggestions

      @TurtleCub If SV only checks saved SSID and password for WiFi connection perhaps you can configure your mobile phone HotSpot with your home’s SSID and password and try to connect SV to your phone…

        @TurtleCub this may help. If you scroll to my last post and follow the link that’s how I resolved my issue.

        Followed the advice of some members and ported my phone as my “hot spot” and could use either my cellular data (have plenty of hot spot data) or use Wi-Fi and still use my private connection hot spot for my Vertical to connect to.

          @Todd-Danielczyk @jjpaz

          Thanks for the replies guys. I had already tried that to no avail. No networks showed up. The only way to resolve was to soft reboot the watch

            @TurtleCub You probably tried this as well, but the watch needs to sit tight on the charger in order to establish a new wifi connection. I had forgotten this and it took me a while to get it sorted…
