I see expected splash of topics from disappointed users after official announcement of Movescount retirement. I still think that roadmap has to be created to make all users to know what is happening with Suunto app. Now you cannot say that you are not pushing users to use Suunto app

@freeheeler it depends heavily on the type of exercise. I never forgot to stop an activity (though i forgot to start it a few times) when cycling or XC skiing, but when downhill skiing, with the watch under the ski jacket, it happened to me a few times.

I want to note that there are currently two threads on the Suunto app feature request forum dedicated Interval workout functionality - essential to any athlete looking to improve their performance. These thread were started one year and five months ago, respectively. Presently, there is no good way for the 9 (the watch I have) or the Spartan series to guide athletes through these workouts. And yet, this functionality that is already in place for the Ambit series. It exists on most other manufacturers’ devices as well. (Certainly those in the Spartan series’s price range.)

The individuals who post on that site are dedicated Suunto users…your biggest fans. I appreciate Suunto’s work to integrate Strava. I am fond of the interval data embedded in the description of activities when I use the (limited) interval features on my 9. However, other manufacturers’ devices automatically create laps based on these intervals and this information is also sent. This sort of functionality would be a welcome addition, but only a first step towards incorporating the critical functionality described above (and requested by so many).

I respect the inclination to work meticulously, and to avoid over promising. But, I can’t see how keeping your most fervent fans in the dark for a year is the best strategy.

@mirja-vartiainen not sure if I can answer your question, but I will try:

You could push lap button to create laps, and then you will get a table with this data (lap duration, avg pace…). You can just mark the autolap option in the watch. You could also, change X axis from Duration to Distance, and then make a selection (then you will see, the data infor for the selected part)

It’s the reason I have an A3 along with my S9P blue titanium, to be able to have on point distance measurement for pool swim sessions, and if you add that you can teach the A3 how you swim each style, it made me pull the trigger on a less than 100 usd brand new A3P that was only a in-store shown watch here in Suunto México 🇲🇽 😉

Haven’t tried after latest firmware update for S9P, but last year A3P did a more real measurement of distance in Open water as well 😊 , S9P measured like 400 meter less

Good day! With despair I heard the news about MC will be discontinued. After years of using this very practical program for both our Ambit 3 Peak and Suunto 9. As my old Ambit 3 doesnt like wind at all (obviously!) the total ascent was sometimes completely wrong and I could change in the MC app everything I wanted. I also loved to export my moves as .gpx and import them into Google Earth as for mountaineers it is always brilliant to see the track in 3D.
Also - after having done the synchronisation between SA and MC once…i do not seem to be able to move-or synchronize-one move i have corrected in MC to the SA.
And why is it not possible to see all your personal data - like ascent/descent - time - …like the setting of the activity filter in MC??? for every single sport??? Like…i want to see how many vertical metres have I done mountaineering/skitouring/hiking…etc?
As long as those features are not working in SA…I would call the SA just a nice gimmick I could easily live without!!
Please pardon my english - no native speaker.
Maybe there is the one or other solution other users could help me with … as the Q&A are mostely useless.

Old topic, but found it while searching to see if anyone else had brought it up. Slept with my SSU last night and got a sleep time that was roughly 1 1/2 hours to short. Was surprised to see that there was no way of editing the times, or even the ability to delete. So now I have an incorrect sleep time that I can’t do anything about. The ability to edit the start and end times would be very usefull.

So did this end up getting parked since it’s available on the S9/S7 series of watches directly?

Would be nice to have it centrally located for those of us that have multiple watches…

Yes POIs are not transferred as of today, not sure why, I also believe it should work the same as for routes.

Bump, we need better weight tracking through SA.

The only way to update our weight is through the watch, and you can’t even use decimal and only whole numbers.

There must be better weight tracking, especially if someone’s weight is trending up/down over a long period of time, which affects our VO2 max calculations!

@freeheeler if can do magic update and firmware it’ll be great 😂😂😂
