@Alpha-156.42 Are you saying they had Garmin devices, purchased Suuntos, and are now buying new Garmin devices? That’s gonna cost some serious $$$ (or €€€ or whatever). Especially if it’s any of the new Garmins.
It’s probably just a case of preferring what you’re used to. Like others, I’ve tried all the main brands (Suunto, Garmin, Polar, Coros, Apple) and prefer Suunto for the simplicity of the software and the watches themselves. I will say that if you like complete control of your data, Garmin may have the edge as they have a robust mobile and web-based platform. You can also live life with a Garmin and never connect it to a phone, instead using a physical cable connection to a computer or syncing via wi-fi (something I appreciate).
But saying that Garmin is less complicated? That doesn’t sound right.
