@pavel-samokha I’ve noticed the same issue with older activities not displaying animations properly. It seems like only workouts synced directly from the watch to SA are working. Would be great if there was a way to support imported or older activities as well! Regarding the speed discrepancy, that’s an interesting find. The difference between the max speed shown in SA and the white flag animation does make it seem like a conversion issue. If it’s pulling from different data points (peak vs. recorded max), maybe there’s a way to standardize how it’s displayed? Also, I’d really appreciate having an option to manually switch between metric and imperial. Since it’s based on locale right now, it can be a bit inconvenient for those of us using different systems across devices. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed in a future update!

@tomasllorens You are right. “Current Activity Duration” is the same as “Duration” in a single sport activity. In a multi-sport activity “Duration” is the overall moving time and “Current Activity Duration” is well… the duration (moving time) of the current activity

Thank you @paata and @pavel-samokha. That was very helpful. As feedback to Suunto, it would be nice if you could download gpx files directly from the activity the way you can with FIT files. Cheers.

@kuba-sarata you can use Sport Tracker to have more option like type of goal (time, calories, distance and numbers of activities) BUT you can’t delete it.

@lazenbyl1 activity editing has some issue (at least on iOS) and I’ve confirmed this here, which I believe has not been corrected yet (if you are using the latest version of the app). See that topic for more details on our findings. Update: also it would be great if you could provide a version number for both, Suunto app and SuuntoLink you are using. Oh, and there is no easier way to delete multiple activities AFAIK.

@brad_olwin ah, damn. I can’t download a fit file from Healthmate. I can download all of my data as a .csv file however, although I don’t think that is much use? @Bulkan this is less about the S7 and more about the Suunto App, as this could happen with any Suunto device. Healthmate has a two way sync with Google Fit and can export and import steps at the same time (within the Healthmate app it shows the breakdown of your daily steps between the two apps, it’s really clever and handy!). Would be nice if the Suunto App did the same, as it could then still record my steps whilst the watch is charging, or i forget to put it on, or i wear a different watch that day, etc… I guess for now I’ll have to add it as an all day walking activity?

@deserthike20 I’ve done week long trips with no internet, pretty sure your watch will work fine, especially considering you start and stop at the same location (I guess). Worst scenario, you’ll need to wait a minute for a good GPS lock.

@Brad_Olwin I would guess it’s mainly for loosing weight - at least thats why I bought my first fitbit, counting calories and looking to reach a calorie deficit every day - and it didn’t work (at first) since Fitbit‘s calorie calculation ( and I agree: thats all it is - a calculation, no real measurement) was much too high for my metabolic rate. The only way for me to really find out how much I burn, was to actually track my intake (to get a rough number of calories consumed) and track my weight for some weeks. I then found out how much I could eat without gaining weight and from that number of calories I subtracted about 300 to 500 kcal a day, and did this for some month, loosing 10kg and keeping it. With lower weight there had to be done some adjustments in intake, but I now have a relatively good idea of the number of calories I could eat without gaining weight again. Actually Suunto‘s estimation of my daily calorie burn was very near that number together with a very cheap Amazefit tracker (and the one on the website of the Mayo clinic ) Polar was way off, as was the Apple watch. I guess there are different algorithms for calculating your bodies calorie consumption regarding your age, weight, etc. and if your device uses the wrong one you will actually never loose weight, but even gain more :-).

I had a run today and have the same chart with such bonkers estimations. My observation is that there’s too much data on the screen (and the current hr is very hard to read as it’s dark red) to be useful while running. Why not get a simple, large and clean chart with approx 3 minutes of data to have an easy way of knowing if the economy is going up or down by a gentle and quick glimpse on a watch? Or an indicator if the economy is rising, flat or dropping (the ring could be used for that).

this metric seems overall very “hard” in general, I have the same troubles as you, staying in the “increasing fitness zone” is so hard, even if my actual fitness is increasing (like my VO2max) my TSB is firmly in “loosing fitness”/keeping fitness zone, but I also think its because I trained very hard when i first got my watch (10 weeks ago) thus it set a high baseline. On this matter my issue is more relative to the fact that if you compare the “resting time” the watch advise after each exercise and the fitness trend its pretty much impossible to be in the “staying fit” or above without completly ignoring the recommended resting time

@VoiGAS Serial vs. parallel: it’s good to clarify. Duplicate workouts done in parallel (simultaneously) should be easy to detect and merge because the timestamps overlap. The app could even do this automatically!
