@stromdiddily that function does not seem that useful to me. I prefer ther Suunto (and other brands) method: update AGPS-file whenever there is a connection to the internet/ while synchronizing. To be able to see the information how much longer the AGPS-file is valid and helpful on the other hand looks nice … not really essential, and in a way trivial especially as one might ‘know’ that it is limited and the watch works without the AGPS-file, too, only having a (sometimes only slightly) slower GPS-fix, but nice …

But why if you can use the same Movescount account for multiple watches (or hours as you say)? Everybody is telling you to sync your watches to the same account and you always reply that it is not possible. I don’t get it, people have been using multiple watches with the same Movescount account for ages, why wouldn’t it work for you.

@smartsp I have an A3P too, it does not get put on my wrist often. I much prefer the S9b screen, the lighter weight and the enhanced Navigation features.

@Catoer-Wibowo Also, and believe me I don’t want to add fuel to the fire, just to add value to the conversation. As the obvious reference is to the fenix6, it seems to have a lot of problems. I don’t own it but I follow the Run4IQ facebook forums because I’m a sports watch enthusiast in general and the oximeter is working really bad. (if you want some links that talk about it, I can provide it) Let’s leave doing medical devices, to medical devices

@synner88 I think heatmap is more realistic. It doesn’t use much memory space. My idea is that when syncing a route, suunto app merges that route with heatmap around it, then send the merged route to a watch. On a watch-side, heatmap can be shown in light-gray color and doesn’t affect a route navigation. With this, we can navigate planned route in comparison with heatmap. If this can be implemented, I believe that Suunto watches can beat any other watches with topo map.

@inkognito Thanks for your answer. I always change the direction without strong pushing, because the pool ist too short. I wasn´t aware for this algorithm detail, because i assumed it was controlled only by the compass.

@gone-troppo the watch only talks with a phone, the app can run on an Apple silicon Mac but it does not have Bluetooth support in this case. It should work with an iPad though.

All the Vertical, Race(s) and Ocean are great upgrades. Best in class GPS. But if you don’t mind the OLED and want the greatest, the most beautiful and ‘Made in Finland’ get the Ocean. I have the 3 in case you wonder why I suggest the Ocean (oh and if money is no prob since it’s more expensive)

I’m just wondering if Glonass is still a global option or if now it can be customized for each mode.

@geoffspakes touchscreen is not the best choice when it rains. For races and interval training button is the only option. I moved from Vivoactive 2 (it died in pool) to Spartan Sport. I almost not using buttons.

@whl_89 Costumers arent changing Brands because of better hardware but because of Software, connection to other services (Suunto app should be able to read and write workouts from platforms Like trainingpeaks for example otherwise the daily calories and the Training log are nonsense btw)and not bring up features which are not as difficult to bring to life. This is the plan. We are bringing you power charts (next android version) and laps+intervals (next iOS version). REgarding connected services there is were we are targeting. Cannot share more though.
