I had already reported the issue as well but this morning I’ve noted that it works again and made a short video. Who knows why but I think the endless love I have for this toy is starting to pay off 😊

Seem to remember coming across this issue in the past. The info around this back then was:

It has to do with privacy settings on the Suunto side, workout has to be either be public or the activity should have been shared via the “share link to activity” option.

@Mff73 That is correct. While I said the message disappeared in about 5 seconds, I actually did not have the full 5 seconds to read it. For the few messages so far, by the time I raised my wrist, I only got a glimse of the dimming message without my reading glasses on. That I can’t read clearly without reading glasses makes the matter worse. That is why I would like the message to stay until I acknowlege it, so I have time to put on my glasses. I make a note to myself to act quickly the next time a message pops up. So hopefully I shall catch it the next time. 😉

Yeah, the “LAP” item on top takes up the space.

The watch will autocalibrate in all screens that use gps.

For for example if you enter the activity pre start screen it will start a trigger asking for gps based altitude calibration.

@Mff73 This has been mentioned by the testers as well. I imagine it is not high on the priority list.

@Ultrawalker Hi. You are correct, the Vertix 2 experience for me wasn’t that great. Battery life and GPS were fine, but a bunch of things I didn’t like piled up to me selling it after 2 months, and I just didn’t like how Coros executes the UI and graphics. Totally personal too but I just found everything a little bit cartoonish.

@jasoncuddy I think, we are on the same page. I really enjoy it, just curious, that all of these are known or not. I believe that Suunto will fix them as usual and S9PP will be not just OK, but perfect 😉

I used the mermaiding mode for the first time today and the dive screen didn’t show any live data. Is that the problem referred to here or is there a different fault with my watch?
I’ve tried to recreate it as a custom mode but it doesn’t look like that’s possible.

@Bradleyd the person I’m referring to decided to replace the watch as it was brand new, straight out of the box. It was updated to the recent firmware, soft and hard reset, SA with the newest version. Still no luck, always N/A in AGPS.

Yes, Ray’s review of the S9P and snap-to-route (s2r) is a big reason why I finally decided to upgrade from my old A3P. That review placed the seed in my head and I finally pulled the trigger last month.

I’ll be sure to add this to the surveys. I imagine something along these lines is already in the works.

Definitely feels inefficient UX to expect users to manually create loops. Perhaps a better implementation is by having route types (out and back, vs closed loop, vs end to end, etc), to prevent the race distance issues. And s2r can adjust behavior based on route type. But again, I don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes.

Anyways, I trust there’ll be a solution in the future and will make note of this on surveys. Thanks for the information.
