@freeheeler said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro Review part 2 OHR + GPS: @zhang965 said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro Review part 2 OHR + GPS: I have 18h sleep between 20h and 8h. this is called compressed sleeping! …man, I’m jealous, I would really need this super power I haven’t seen this ever, most likely a bug. I assume you did send logs? [image: 1672256211401-33c8eddeb3d98640.jpg] Btw it’s not first time I met this problem, I got one before and log had been sent.

@twekkel said in Problem with time?: @Piotr-Grygiel the time in GPX files should always be in UTC time, that is the GPX specification for all vendors (https://www.topografix.com/gpx_manual.asp). An application can transform it into local time. Can you open the GPX file with a text editor and have a look if the timestamps are correct in there? Thanks, my issue has been fixed.

I’m assuming the status is as listed in the other thread here? https://forum.suunto.com/post/104721 Went out for the first swim in a pool. Beta Android app didn’t show distance. I used the swim interval S+ app which actually showed (double the actual) distance swum under the laps/interval section. That double distance was passed on to Strava also. My stroke was generally consistent each length but I’m not a great swimmer so I can understand why it would double it.

I did a factory reset, when I gave the 9p to my wife. I would not just change settings.

@Felttie try what @Mff73 said. Did you try reinstalling the app too? If none of those work a hard reset is likely necessary. I see you did reinstall. Soft or hard reset on the watch.

@omunoz fantastic. I had something similar for my Ambit3 back in the golden age of technology. Really looking forward to seeing this published.

@Elipsus said in Bug while following GPX track “marked path”: @Egika oh i see, i understand a bit more the snap to route… However, I’m still not sold on it, because “what if” the gpx track given by the organisaion isn’t perfect somewhere/had to make a last minute detour ? I have the very real risk of a completely butchered map display… From my point of view, not handling this situation seems a bit of an oversight… For my next run I will stay on the intinery thing without directions, thanks for the advice You can still follow the provided GPX track without using the snap to route feature. Your watch will show the GPX planned route, the activity will be plotted by GPS and the deviation will be captured properly in the app afterwards.

@tiago Surprised by your post I went to check my watch and you’re right, there’s a bug from my point of view too. On the Race, it’s possible in Trail interface (Pace/Power/HR) but impossible for “Running” where Intensity Zone options are for Pace / HR only.

@ruisg I wash mine off after every run. Then I’ll put the watch back on. It needs to sit without vibration for the LEDs to shut off.

@Steven-Limmer As with all new features it is tested. The release timing is up to Suunto and what other features may accompany it.

@Brad_Olwin said in Bugs galore - when can we expect a fix?: Known by Suunto and do not know what the fix is. More than one field tester has reported that the display does not completely shut down when off the wrist. I had already reported the issue as well but this morning I’ve noted that it works again and made a short video. Who knows why but I think the endless love I have for this toy is starting to pay off

@LudovicTheRunner reaction to your statement about Suunto investing more into the app than the watch. Non sens. Moreover app and watches are more than closely linked.

Seem to remember coming across this issue in the past. The info around this back then was: It has to do with privacy settings on the Suunto side, workout has to be either be public or the activity should have been shared via the “share link to activity” option.

@Mff73 That is correct. While I said the message disappeared in about 5 seconds, I actually did not have the full 5 seconds to read it. For the few messages so far, by the time I raised my wrist, I only got a glimse of the dimming message without my reading glasses on. That I can’t read clearly without reading glasses makes the matter worse. That is why I would like the message to stay until I acknowlege it, so I have time to put on my glasses. I make a note to myself to act quickly the next time a message pops up. So hopefully I shall catch it the next time.

There is no physical or chemical process that will lessen the speed of discharging after a complete battery drain. If anything, it can only age the battery faster or potentially even damage the battery if left discharged for prolonged periods of time. Google it, or ChatGPT it, it’s easily verifiable. What can potentially help with the battery drain is just rebooting the watch, if it’s stuck in some endless loop. If it doesn’t help, then the issue lies elsewhere.

The watch will autocalibrate in all screens that use gps. For for example if you enter the activity pre start screen it will start a trigger asking for gps based altitude calibration.
