@LudovicTheRunner it may be wiser to schedule the consumption of carbs according to what amount your body’s can absorb in a given unit of time, rather than based on estimated calories expenditure.

I have contacted the online customer service and rolled back the software to previous version 2.33.16 by the guidance. The issue is not seen anymore, so the new feature should be introduced in the new version 2.35.34, but I don’t like it.

@zhang965 said in Regular nighttime oxygen metrics question S 9 Peak Pro: I do use the finger sensor as well. My perspective is the optical sensor is NOT SUITABLE for a one moment measurement. (Not for medical usage) The optical sensor can give you a very accurate value for a period average but NOT ONE GIVEN MOMENT . So even everytime I trigger the oxygen saturation measurement, it shows a ridiculous value, globally the night max value is correct. It’s why I do use finger sensor to measure my morning HR to understand if my recovery is done. My watch cannot give me a good value at that moment. Yes, those are very correct points, nothing can be concluded from the individual measurements, just from the principle of the matter. But if, for example, I attach a small ball to my back that pushes me and forces me to sleep on my side and not on my back all night. And I see that my average night saturation has increased by 3% (relative). Then I realize that sleeping on my back causes snoring for me and vice versa, sleeping on my side free the respiratory tract and voila, the impact on the quality of life is great But unfortunately the maximum value is useless in this case, because I slept for a while both nights on the side when my saturation would be correct. That’s why I think the maximum value can’t be the only correct value

@freeheeler thanks for your answer. In my case nothing is transfered… But I recreate a new mode (same parameters) and now it’s correct !

@isazi Thx, at least it’s known. In my case I always have my watch on. Sometimes this Spo2 chart appears to be aligned to the end of a gap in HR sometimes isn’t. [image: 1677157154390-smartselect_20230223_065827_suunto.jpg] [image: 1677157154122-smartselect_20230223_065858_suunto.jpg]

I tried but was unable to reproduce it. I set the backlight to high and enabled standby. The watch shows a bright light for a while and then dimmed down to a faint glow. After pressing a button it turns bright again. I enabled raise to wake in low setting (standby still enabled). There it doesn’t seem to work but that is probably because the intensity of the low raise to wake setting is the same intensity as the standby intensity. When I set the raise to wake to high, the watch shows the same faint glow and turns bright when I raise my arm.

@Egika Sure. However, two examples: What if I set myself a steps-goal (e.g. next workout, I want to walk 15.000 steps). I recently was on a walking workout with my wife and had my workout running. Suddenly my wife was asking: I already have 10.000 steps. How many do you have? I could not answer the question as the workout display would not tell me the number of steps. Only at the end of the workout - when I completely stopped and saved the workout - I could answer the question, finally. I know, this might sound silly for professional sportspeople like you. But as the steps are counted anyway, why not making them available as datafield for displays during workouts? That should be very simple to implement, I suppose. Thanks.

@music_and_cities If the bottom of Z1 is above 114 bpm, which it is for me, you will not see the pointer and the display will appear as you see. The pointer will move up when you are in Z1. What is your Z1 set for? Just checked mine, you should have a pointer at the bottom of the ring.

@maszop That is fair - I would not expect there to be an unlimited number of characters. However, right now the watch only shows about 6 lines of text (lines that fit in the watch) which only amounts to a couple sentences. Many of my texts are longer than this (for example, this paragraph I just wrote would be truncated). I guess if I had to specify a number I would ask for up to 20 lines, which would cover nearly all my messages. Certainly others will have different needs. This is meant more of a request than a complaint. It was a change when I went from my S3F to S9PP. It is always hard to lose features, but of course we gain others!

@ventresca said in PTE bug ?: I’ve noticed a bug in the PTE calculation on my Suunto 9 peak pro (maybe since the last update?). Sometimes, when I don’t have my heart rate belt on, I turn it off (so the heart rate is not recorded in my activity). The problem is that a 10 km jog well below my maximum pace is always scored with a very high PTE score, often PTE = 5. I’d like to point out that I haven’t modified my parameters (heart rate ranges, maximum frequency, etc.). I’ve logged around 200-300 runs since I got my watch. So with the GPS and the calculation of my speed (which corresponds to my jogging pace) over less than an hour, there’s no reason to have such a high score. I take it this is a bug? Thanks in advance, It seems like a bug indeed. The high PTE score without heart rate data is unusual, especially with consistent speed and pace. Hope it gets fixed soon!

@Marcos You can add a route to the 9PP but there are no maps. Here is the support page where you can find how to videos and a user guide for this watch. https://www.suunto.com/en-us/Support/sports-watches-support/suunto-9-peak-pro/
