@sartoric Indeed, you’re right. “POI (Point of Interest)” seems the right terminology for what I want to do. Thank you very much. [image: 1744120724518-baedf0c7-d4f3-4583-8acd-58a517773cbf-image.png]

@martintrail said in weather display: I had the same problem this morning, but it’s fine now. I synchronized a few times and then somehow it was fine. 200 / 5.000 right. I was having this problem too. As you said, it works after 2.3 synchronizations. but the problem here is that BEAUFORT is used differently in each country. we use km/hour but the watch gives me m/s

@thanasis The S+ screen will show a pointer and green if you are in the zone for the interval. Red if you are outside the zone. I find this quite helpful. However you are correct. For me, I would rather not have a buzz or other notification and I realize this is highly personal. For my intervals I always am running and typically use power, which can fluctuate. The buzz or sound would just distract me as I often use RPE to gauge effort and glance at the pointer to ensure I am somewhere in the correct zone. the missing feature is a lap counter!

@Loïc-Fracheboud I have experimented that too : If you want to modify the current route you’re navigating on, it crashes the activity. The only way : create another route in the app and charge it in navigation settings.

@LitchiMonster said in Solar Widget no longer shows "Maximal" in bright sun: Just an update, eventually my Vertical solar performance degraded to the extent where it would only record “low” solar, even in direct South African summer sun. So, I sent the watch in to our local agent and it is being replaced under warranty. They confirmed the solar was not working when compared to another vertical. My works since i punched it softly in 2024 :P. Dirtectly in full sun = MAX.

@Claudia-CK just create a personnal sport mode, and you can choose your fields to have your speed ascent in m/min.

@ElectronBadger I have the solar and I agree with most. You probably do not need it, but if you really want titanium then… The only thing I could see it being super useful for is when I do several day (I mean like 7+ days) of backpacking. The solar would potentially take a bit of edge off of the loss of battery due to GPS usage, but having said that most of my trekking is done at least half the time under tree cover so that will make it mute. The one thing I do not like about the solar is the greenish tint that it gives the outside of the screen. Black would be much cleaner looking in my opinion. An example for me would be last year then I did the Colorado Trail from Silverton to Durango. Didn’t really see a lot of help from the solar. The only time I would get a good solar bump was going over passes. If you are a road cyclist and plan on strapping your watch to the handle bars you might see some solar usage out of that. Plus with the MIP it would not need to turn on the light every time you flicked your wrist to see where you were or how you were doing. If I were to disappear into the bush for a month, maybe.

@Stefano-M64 @runomatic Figured out, as a workaround, it’s enough to disable Bluetooth. No need to enable Airplane Mode. I created an automation via Shortcuts on iOS to turn it off an on automatically, and it worked

@el_senderos OHR does not work well for me during exercise on any watch brand. Daily and sleeping is fine but I highly recommend using an HR belt, which will enable you to use ZoneSense.

@Singinghound said in Suunto Vertical and UK Grid References: can you input a UK Grid Reference and navigate to it on the watch (i.e. without using a smartphone app)? Nope (as @The_77 suspects). No Suunto watch can do that since the Ambits, sadly. (And even using the App will require you to convert the OS co-ordinates to decimal Lat/Lon yourself.)
