My Vertical used to charge something like 1.5h. 97 -> 99% takes some time than last percent 99-100% takes like 20 minutes… I dont mind if it would charge 2h considering its lasts 20-30 days, depends on daily usage. Ofc. with using best GPS its much, much lower.

@Deaknquinn1979 @Max-maxilifeguard @Egika I am not a current Vertical owner, but it is a watch I seriously interested in purchasing. I have a current Garmin Instinct and much to Deak’s point, I don’t need all the surf data, but tidal data is a great help as a surfer and a paddleboarder. Additionally, any surf data now for beaches is a paid service. As I seek to purchase a Vertical here within the next 30 days, I feel it would be a great software update for the watch as a screen users can scroll to get data. It does not need to be a constant on the face of the watch, but like all sport/information options, one at the fingertips.

@Egika Thanks. Yeah, I didn’t think it was. Familiar with manual scrolling both forward and back, but just makes sense to have auto scroll without having to do that for when using poles or on a bike. Hopefully gets added at some point.

Hello, I tested the issue of my watch not automatically syncing the weather, which I previously wrote about in the forum. I kept the watch active for 16 hours. I prevented it from going to sleep. I didn’t manually sync with the Suunto app. Both my phone and watch were connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and I received notifications. Today, after 16 hours, I noticed that it wasn’t receiving the weather on the home screen (picture 1). When I checked it on the watch, it said to sync (picture 2). I opened the Suunto app to check the situation. I left the watch in the menu so I could see the screen to prevent syncing. It also said “No sync for 16 hours” (picture 3). So, I think the watch isn’t automatically syncing the weather at night. Or maybe I’ve missed something. @Snow-and-Rock have this very often, as well. Duplicate entry disappears after a while. I‘ve got used to it

Requiring internet for such basic route (just a gpx file) management is a huge, even ridiculous, mistake.

@JonasLarsson possibly he could get more money if he sold the V1 now than after the relase of the V2… (Why do I have to think of nazis, suddenly?)

@kurtpenter I use a s9pp and had the same issue when using the stryd app. In that case I don’t connect the stryd pod in the settings menu. Instead the watch connect to the stryd pod by itself when I activate the stryd-app within the training options (the menu you see before you start your sport mode/exercise). Maybe that can help you.

@MartinZ I wanted to add that I noticed something similar - a distinct pattern - the easier my run is, with more breaks and less effort overall, the higher VO2max estimation is. When I have a truly good performance in my opinion, my VO2max estimation is always the worst.

@Krzysztof-Borkowski Did you double checked that you are connecting to the correct account? Out of curiosity, your past activities are also from Suunto watches? Last tip : are you able to see those past activities in Sportstracker website (same credentials as your suunto account and it is expected to display all your history as well)

@Tieutieu said in How to use “Turn by turn”?: @runomatic said in How to use “Turn by turn”?: Hi there. After importing a GPX track from Strava i’m just wondering how to use “turn by turn” for this track. Only if I am mistaken but « turn by turn » can only be used with routes created from SA directly or from komoot. You can’t add turn by turn indication on an importated gpx. Ok, i feared it. And: What’s the difference between “Routes” and “Snap to route”? When you choose « snap to route », the track at the end will be exactly spotted on the « route » you’ve been using, instead of being the gps track. When you simply use a « route », the watch guides you, but the track at the end is the gps recording. Thanks, that helps!

@isazi Thanks a lot. I followed your suggestion. The first sync after app reinstall was extremely slow both on SV and S9PP, but after today’s activity appeared. Really appreciate for your help

@runomatic That’s supposedly how firstbeat does it measures your speed vs hr on an outside road run and measures it against its algorithms. The speed your watch gives you on treadmill is obviously not gps speed it’s from the accelerometer.

I agree with you mate the maps are incredibly slick and recently helped me and a group many times on an overnight off track hike it thick rainforest find our way. By the end any time we would lose our way everyone would say to me what does your watch say hahaha
