@Egika Unless a device follows at least the specification for usb 1.0 (which includes power negotiation for up to 500mA @ 5v) it isn’t allowed to use the USB logo or branding. A chip to handle the spec costs no more than a few pence these days so it’s highly unlikely you’ll buy a charger carrying the usb branding that doesn’t follow the spec. You could pretty easily test whether a charger does actually do the handshake by sticking a little tape over the 2 middle pins of the USB-A plug or socket as these are the D+ and D- data pins needed for the handshake. If your device doesn’t start charging or takes days to charge you can, I think, conclude it’s only receiving the default 150mA.

@Igorillo you are in the options screen before starting a run - using the auto lap selection here you can set distance or duration auto laps - or turn it off. This is not the log book. In the log book when you select an activity and scroll down to the auto lap (if you have it enabled) you can right arrow to see the laps recorded. I have confirmed all of this on my SV.

@surfboomerang in my experience, of course still recording. 1 morning i woke up and go to toilet. my watch show me morning report. then go back to my bed and browsing phone a while and then take short sleep again. i woke up and my watch and app show my sleep duration was added few more hours. awake duration is quite accurate. SV know when i wake up go to toilet haha. the time i go to toilet is still under my sleeping time that i set in my watch. when my heart rate dropped below rest heart rate it will assume that i go back to sleep again. so i guess this is the reason why SV extend our sleeping duration.

@6294946 You are on 17.2 for the phone? I would download the beta app, it is unlikely to have issues. Try two things, first disconnect the watch from the phone, forget the watch in the app and then forget the app in the watch. Uninstall the app from the phone. Download the beta app or if you prefer the store app. Repair the watch. Sometimes for me the watch is not connected in the iPhone BT settings. if that occurs to you simply touch the watch in the BT settings and it should reconnect. I have reported this issue to Suunto.

@dawxperia That is odd, contact support to get the watch replaced. You are the first that I have seen.

@la-tzèca said in ..and at the end, I bought it. Summary.: I write this in order to help some users that are evaluating the Vertical. I come from a Forerunner 935 and I use since one week. I had some The overall look speed values are smoothed and usable. My FR 935 “bounces” and is not really useful. I think I could undestand almost everything about the watch, without the need to read a single page of the manual. What I do not like OHR: Good enough for sleep tacking, useless for anything else. But I was aware. Armband Fonts: There are plenty of room in the sport screen modes: Make them bigger!!! Why the limit to 4 screens in sport modes ? No web (full browser) UI “Live Track”: no way to automatically let my wife know where I’m lying dead in the forest If I choose “light mode”, WTH is the bottom value “white on black” ? a single bluetooth POD “per type” little bit bulky. Probably mainly because of the armband Bottom line: From MY2017 FR 935 a step forward. The watch seems more “essential” but at the same time “more consistent” (Less is more). OHR works for some but not all, Apple for me is the best here. Your FR is a lot lighter watch so that is likely an issue. Part of the 4 screen limitation is adding 2 S+ screens and 1 screen for altitude profile if route loaded gets up to 7 screens….I think a lot. App runs natively on iPad and Mac ( with Apple Silicon) so Web UI is not necessary. Similar for Windows I think to run Android app. Live Track yes not available but you can find options that will work on your phone. BT Pods noted many times here Welcome and hope you enjoy it.

@Pedros said in Suunto Vertical NO VO2 Max: @Brad_Olwin said in Suunto Vertical NO VO2 Max: @Pedros As @BrunoH stated you need good HR. It is possible that the OHR is spiking or there are gaps. If so, the VO2M will not show. Have you tried an HR belt? Yes i’m using HR belt for all of my runs I am out of suggestions! I would not reset the watch. If after a few more runs and not working. Send logs to Suunto and send me a PM, provide the date and time logs sent (time zone too please) and the email you use to log into the Suunto app. I will forward a report to Suunto on this.

@Egika Perfect! Thank you very much! Shame it doesn’t mention that anywhere in the manual. I usually ending up scrolling through everything on the watch when I can’t find something - but I never thought Touchscreen would be under ‘Battery Power Management’!
