It being understood that everything can be improved, it is a good idea to inform yourself about what you are purchasing.
For convenience, I also use the Suunto app for mac os. So there are alternatives.
@sebchastang After updating to lastest firmware I confirm there is still different behavior if we toggle airplane mode on/off from “Control panel” or from “Settings”.
It would be so convenient to disable both wifi and bluetooth connections from control panel.
I hope this feature is going to be considered by Suunto for the next firmware release 🤞
I’ve performed my interval training with my 4yo Forerunner 745 2 days ago…
Perfectly in the pace range.
I’m done anyway, I’ve sold my watch, I can’t run another quality session …
@pilleus
I did some rides with the Race on the handlebar and didn’t notice the screen to reduce brightness. I’m pretty busy this weekend and next week, but I hope to get the chance to test in real life, soon.
@Antoine Looks like Zonesense just takes the HR when entering a zone. In your case the two peaks were when your heartrate was rather low (so not really in sync).
If that really is the way it works, then its rather useless because it will be wrong due to lag or other effects.
For me Zonesense looks more like a Proove of Concept than an actual working feature…
That is not how ZoneSense works. Have you watched the video? Have you read the peer-reviewed manuscripts published in scientific journals? Have you read the white paper? Please stop speculating on what you think is happening. Perhaps educate yourself instead of making statements that are completely incorrect. I have replied to you many times stating this is not a measure of HR, so have others. It is not meant to follow HR nor is the measurement based on HR. It is based on relationships between IBI and in this manuscript, has been tested far more scientifically than anyone on this forum including me is likely to do. You refuse to acknowledge this. I am fine with you being skeptical of using it but understand how the feature works prior to continuing to assume it is synced to HR! @wmichi Yeah, seen with this angle it is less attractive^^
I experienced a false type of effort once because I hadn’t change my power zones to the new numbers. Spent a lot of time in zones 1-2 HR, but my power zones were zones 3-4 and so I got aerobic/anaerobic run as a type of workout instead of aerobic.
I have the exact problem with the watch cutting into my wrist. Especially bad with mountain biking.
I 100% agree it’s a design issue (not a “wear it higher” fix).
@Egika Thanks for your comment.
yes, I did try to go outside, but it didn’t change the altitude.
Here in Finland, in the most of the apartment buildings the ventilation system is still gravity based so I don’t think that’s the case here.
Anyway, things are back to normal 😳
@Olaf-Gottschalk As others have said, this has been an issue raised several times. I used to bike race but no longer, I had three bikes and this would be a real issue for me as well. We can only hope that it is something in progress. I understand your frustration.
