@eeser The Ocean has not yet been updated to the Race firmware. It will come but will take some time. The Lock Screen is in the newer firmware version.

@gerasimos no, but there are no powered electrical components (passive NFC antenna), and I imagine no air due to the moulding, so no compression/decompression stressing the plastic. Just a lump of relatively incompressible solids. My bigger concern would be it not being a diving strap, is it big enough to go over a wetsuit? And as others have raised about the Ocean’s strap, if one of the strap retention pins fails, the whole watch falls off.

@Mff73 yep. Although weirdly the Whoop strap will also sync HR after an activity, which is worthy of its own thread.

@Gilles-van-der-Have I have a similar problem, first my watch ran out of battery (it ran out) and after I charged it, “no fly time” went crazy: [image: 1734601095711-ocean.jpg] Today I saw that there was an update, I installed it, but the problem with “no fly time” still persists. I tried a “soft reset”, but it didn’t help. Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance

@Flops No problem for m/s, i understand too, but an option for changing could be great.

@aquanaut said in Moderator deleted my post: @ChrisA Hi, thank you for your reply. It doesn’t appear to have been an error on my part. Interestingly, my previously missing post has just appeared. Perhaps posting this one triggered it to show up. If I remember correctly, the first posts written from a new account are moderated, that is, they are queued and need manual approval by moderators (which means they do not appear straight away, which is not the same as „being deleted“). This keeps the forum bot-free. I would like to thank the moderators for the well-readable, noise-free forum!

Hey @tinten.addi I had the same motivations as you did. I needed a new dive computer and was looking at the Garmin Descent Mk3 (quite expensive and too big for my wrist for an everyday watch) and the Suunto D5, because i wanted a computer I could wear like my previous Garmin Fenix 5 everyday. I was just about to order the D5, when the Ocean was announced. I bought it the next day and received it in no time Some features were disappointing at the beginning (e.g. not having a compass while diving, although the watch had a compass builtin), but the major issues have been fixed with the latest firmware. Nevertheless there are more feature reqeusts pending and I assume, you read the discussions about Suunto not updating the Ocean for over half a year now (I would for example love to customize was is shown in the dive screen, esp. in the switch window or to have tank pressure and heading direction available simualtanousely)… Over all, in my opinion, it’s a decent dive computer, an pretty device with potential for software making it great. Mine has already been 2 days. Which guidance is the watch following I wonder? Even the most conservative guidance says 48 hours is the maximum period. Suunto must fix this through a software update. Did anyone find a solution for this yet?

@garethm there are a couple of other field testers who monitor this forum and transport issues and ideas to Suunto. Other than this the Suunto App recently gained a feedback function for everyone to use.
