Suunto 9 Peak Pro?
-
I had one since Summer, you can ask my anything

-
@isazi what’s new? running time and processor? no new hr sensor? what are the pins on the back?
-
@isazi biggest difference comparing to S9P?
-
@mountainChris many things, GPS, internals (first Suunto watch with a discrete GPU for better graphics), OHR, are some examples.
-
@Likarnik new platform , aka new HW only the shell is the same and screen I think
-
@Likarnik the hardware is updated, it will support the new graphical interface, and supports depth measurements and on wrist running power.
-
@isazi what is the difference in ohr? sensor?
-
@isazi oh wrist running power. interesting
-
@mountainChris yes new sensor. For me the sensor of the S9P works well, but this works even better.
-
@isazi the pins on the back? on YouTube I saw a new charging cable, where you have to exactly position watch
-
Oh and I forgot, battery life is better. Suunto promises 40 hours of GPS with all systems enabled (GPS+Glonass+Galileo+Beidou), but in my tests I get estimates of more than 50 hours, always.

i’m excited for FAMILLE SUUNTO 9!

-
Just watched a video on Youtube. Must say I’m impressed. Especially the UI seems an improvement. In general the 9PP in combination with the app development seems to cover a lot of things I’ve seen people complain about regarding Suunto.
Still happy with my 9B. Hopefully will see some features with a new update

-
@el2thek update is coming in October to S3/S5/S9, with new features, but the SA Android beta showed already that the main feature is having S+ apps not tied anymore to firmware updates. The new interface will only be for the S9PP because there is no GPU in the other models.

@isazi
I hate this message

-
@Likarnik ahahahahahah, anch’io!!!
-
@isazi Cannot believe this… Does not the S9P at least get the new fonts?

-
@Efejota no, the new interface is S9PP only. I can say that during activity the new interface fonts and screen combination is more readable, but I am fine with the S9P.
The new interface has been developed for a while, probably one year, and I also thought it would come to all watches, but the rendering would be painfully slow in watches without a GPU.

@isazi Oh noooo
