@Djordje-S I hope it will never happen. Buy hardware and pay monthly if you want to be able to use it. This is big โ€œno go zoneโ€ for me.

@Djordje-S said in Suunto 9 Peak Pro?:

With S9PP and SuuntoPlus store, what are the chances that Suunto will introduce subscription in future for some of the features?

Subscription for Training program yes please
Subscription for features no please no.

@zhang965 Dont get me wrong,I would like not to be charged ๐Ÿ™‚ but basically, you will buy a watch with basics and if you want something more advanced , subscribe and download via SA.

spontaneous thought: if you pay extra for an update, basically every watch will be on a different stage and Suunto has no reference anymore.
with lower watch prices, I would be willing to pay for updates, but I think it is very difficult to manage

@Djordje-S at least to my knowledge nothing like that is planned or developed now. Paid sports apps or guides or other content, especially from partners - maybe (not planned, but would make sense imo), but not subscription to use your watch features. Though ofc who knows how things might change in several years.

The comparison tool on the Suunto website shows a number of functions missing compared with the 9P. Is this correct or is it an error?

@wakarimasen S9PP has more features than the S9P, not less.

Question to all the early testers: do you know if the watch lugs (the protrusions that the strap attaches to) are made of metal (steel or titanium) like the bezel?

not an early tester, but S9P housing (incl lugs) are made of metal. I bet a lot, S9PP is the same.

Just pre-ordered my S9PP all black ๐Ÿ™‚ , looking forward to enjoying all the benefits of the new processor, and even better GPS and OHR.

I guess Iโ€™ll keep Stryd as my primary power meter, works great for pacing in GPS challenged routes. but Iโ€™ll compare and see how much discrepancy is there.

btw, Stryd is also coming up with a new pod in November with new/updated sensors that they claim make it 5x more responsive.

Itโ€™d be interesting to see if new Stryd pod features can be used with S9PP (e.g. Run profiles for better results in trail runs or track workouts ) or at least help reduce the standing start issue (currently we donโ€™t have power for the first 8 secs of a run)

The top of the titanium bezel looks less shiny in compare to S9P ti. Different finish or just on pictures?
