Hotfix 2.23.24
-
@isazi said in Hotfix 2.23.24:
If you had your watch crashing during activities without a clear pattern, go to Suuntolink and download the update that has been released today.
Is there other things fixed (I think of Suunto apps that can’t be selected for example) ?
Is this update recommended even if we don’t have the crash during exercises ?
Best regards.

@Tieutieu to the best of my knowledge, this update is made to fix a specific bug. I personally would install it anyway, even if the bug didn’t affect me so far, to avoid it happening in the future.

@isazi Hi there! Sorry I’m 3 days new to Suunto. Is there a way to download latest hotfix? My Suunto link app is still trying to download v2.23.20 and my Suunto 9 Baro remains crashed with the downward arrow and second dost flashing. Tried soft reset but remains the same. Thanks for advicing!

@renandp11 that should not happen. What operating system are you using? Which Suuntolink version?
-
@isazi is there an ETA for this fix for the s9p? Mine crashed two to three times at every workout in the last week
-
@Andi-Buzer I have no knowledge about that, will share updates if I do.
-
@renandp11 If Suuntolink does not find the update automatically, you can try this link to manually download the file (then drag the zip onto the watch in SuuntoLink)

@isazi this patch didn’t solve the bug affecting the Suunto app loop:pace. I bet also other apps are involved, although I don’t use them. Just select the app and start the activity. The app will show once and then if you scroll/swipe the screens, it will freeze or disappear (black screen). Just try it out. This bug was reported months ago in the forum. Is disappointing you don’t hear.

@Beepi i have the same problem with the app loop speed. The workaround, while waiting for the fix from Suunto, is to remove all the apps from the watch , reset the watch and then add the apps back to the watch. The solution works for some time, and then all over again…
-
@nseslija a reset is needed? Just removing the S+ app from the watch and then add it again does not solve the issue?
I was not aware that the S+ loop app does not work, I use it with my S9P often. -
@isazi I think that I tried without reset and it didn’t work…
-
@isazi I have tried it all: soft reset, hard reset, downgrading, removing-adding apps, but it’s always the same… I have the 9baro though…
-
@Beepi It worked for me…
-
@nseslija having to reset saggests that not the app is foulty but the integration of the app with some sport modes… I use it for example in connection with the sport mode for cross country skiing…
-
@Beepi I use it in custom cycling sport mode. I don’t think it is sport mode related, don’t sure… I noticed that it has stopped working after the SA update once …maybe just coincidence…
-
@nseslija bug was introduced with the software version 2.20.30… I had no problems before…

Hi
This hotfix is just for suunto 9 and not for suunto 9 peak ? Same bugs are available in suunto 9 peak I think.
Thanks -
@lgranjon yes this is for S9 and S9 baro.

Interestingly, I just got a notification of the upgrade (4 weeks after it was released!). I never had the problem, so I wasn’t looking for this fix. But it is interesting why suddenly the SA decided to notify me.
