      @Likarnik
      Rules are simple 😉

So the rule is: no leaks. No pictures, no names, no links, just discuss what you look for in a new watch, what you don’t want, what you expect.

      SVTS - 2.40.38
      SSSWHR BARO Amber - 2.8.32
      Samsung A5 2016 - Android 7.0
      Samsung A33 2022 - Android 14 - One UI 6.1
      Suunto App Android 5.2.5 beta
Suunto App IOs 2.45.0 (19123) beta on MBP M1

@sartoric ok ok, I so I obeyed all rules but provided too much info where data can be found.

I expect new watch will be pricier than current Suunto flagship 🙂

@Likarnik honestly, I would like prices to go down, but I am sure they will not. Everything is more expensive now, watches or non watches.

My previous rule was: no watch costing more than 350EUR.

@isazi harsh reality 😞 I’m willing to pay more if there is significant upgrade (at least for me and my needs).

@isazi It is a good rule but unfortunately from distant past.

              App: beta

@dulko79 seems to be. Take for eg Garmin, which charges close to 500€ for a Forerunner 200-series. This is a plastic watch that was priced around €200 not too long ago. I would be more than happy to pay €500 if a watch offered durability and longevity but sadly no Garmin watch does. Don’t really understand how people recommend them.

@altcmd I never recommend them and try to always bring arguments on the table that will show people they do not need everything that is offered to them and they are charged for it… walk the dog is a sport…
Some valid arguments were the: maps and navigation and the training plans Garmin has embedded. With Suunto Coach I think this will be tackled not sure but the maps though since Garmin has decades of experience there.
I would gladly buy topo maps if they can be loaded to the new watch or buy maps directly from Suunto. Let’s not forget SW needs constant development hence constant influx of money. That’s why Garmin charges these ‘subscriptions’ with the watch (plastic) they sell.

@altcmd It’s still in beta (e.g.: https://forum.suunto.com/post/117145) but basically if you choose training zone tab on your android at the bottom there is the Suunto coach insights. This combined with the Suunto guides is similar to daily suggestions and training plans of Garmin.

@Hristijan-Petreski but for now it’s not yet combined with the guides.

@DMytro I didn’t mean it like combined together (merged) rather than ‘these both’ in the above statement. I might have expressed myself better though 🙂

@Hristijan-Petreski ah I see. But it would be cool if suunto coach could suggest a training and directly implement it via guides.

Sorry for being direct, but having had a 245 and s9p ti, I can say to you that the 245 got scratched less easily.
If you use one and another maybe you can understand the hype, and not all people value the same.
At the time I had the s9p ti, lag , resources bug and sleep time bugs annoyed me so hard I sold it directly. Guess what? The 245 got it right. The screen on the 9p ti was not that amazing on brightness also.
Not saying one is better or worst, the peak had other qualities (good looking, super confort, precise, navigation was cool) but different people value different things.

As someone that today is on full garmin ecosystem, the advantage I see if I buy a Suunto watch is the app that is really a pleasure to use .

On these days I come back to the ambit 3 peak (sold the 945 lte and waiting either for 965 stock or new suunto), and I would be ready to pay suunto a fee to have full support on the app (sync routes, steps, recovery etc) for this watch, given how good the app goes.
                                  (I already pay rungap)

I hope one day suunto will consider opening their platform to everyone (subscription for non-watch users and free for watch users). I guess that would highlight the advantages of suunto ecosystem and serve as an advertisement in itself, while also bringing some income which could be used for even more app development.

I find the price tag for the pro also quite painful in the wallet, especially the titanium that my wife has… but on the sunny side, I really appreciate to know that we support sustainable production and workplaces in Europe

@André-Faria well, to counter your experience, I had pretty horrible data from 245, 955 and F7. Sleep data consistently said I was awake for 2 hours when I know I wasn’t. Plus the 245 and 955 got scratched so easily that I didn’t even know how as I am very careful with Garmin stuff especially. I cannot vouch for Suunto data accuracy either but can say that S9 has been extremely laggy. However, if your S9P TI got scratched more easily relative to a 245, I think something might be wrong with your watch. Titanium body with sapphire glass vs all plastic 245 - try dropping them and my guess is the latter will come out worse almost all the time.

Am I the only one not waiting for a new Suunto watch? Then I no longer have the latest and greatest and it is way too early to upgrade 😊
