snowboard touring, splitboard touring and skitouring isn’t the same thing either… but I track them all as skitouring, maybe I’m too layback with this 😉
it’s human power up and pow shredding fun down… hence: samesame 🥳

Let’s stop here to discuss about different sport modes. Climbing indoor for bouldering is okay and I use tags for differentiation.

On the map, is it possible to have the names of the streets or other localisations like on the S7 ?

          Ambit 3 peak saphir
          Spartan Ultra (sold)
          S7 graphite copper
          S9 peak all black
          Vertical titanium green forest

            @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos

Do You prefer between titanium versions ?
I had s9b steel (81g) ,now I have s9p steel (62g) … and I wonder if I change (rollback ) to heavy watch s vertical steel (86g) this fact will be acceptable.
In the paper s vertical titanium (74g) looks as sensible choice. …but the price 😞 …

Dc rainmaker mentions that suunto will depart from Firstbeat’s algorithms by the end of the year, replacing them with in-house ones. Curious. That’s probably the rumoured changes to sleep analysis.
I wonder if it’ll concern just the new watches or the legacy ones too.

@freeheeler Thanks for the confirmation and review sifting!

Like @Mitch9, I’m now puzzling over the aesthetic/practical merits of the segmentally grooved bezel ring.

it doesn’t have lables. I would imagine lables to be disturbing and reduce easy readability.
everything you need outdoors is there. trails, rivers, cliffs, elevation lines 👍

@DMytro lots of development going on on multiple fronts, the new metrics will probably help with the Coach feature.
But Firstbeat licenses are already paid for released watches, so I do not know if the in-house metrics will replace everything or just take over for the future.

@freeheeler maybe you could add layer with labels, so everyone is happy 🙂 for me, I would like to se my personal heatmaps layer. I like to explore new trails/roads and have as much map colored as possible. And sometimes I do not know if I already took that turn 75km from home or not.

It has been probably answered but I cannot find it. Do we know when the shipping of pre-orders from suunto.com starts? Sorry again for the question 😶

Many retail stores already have them on stock, they are just not allowed to sell them before May 16th.

At least they could make an exception for The Suunto Community Forum users…😊

Do you know if and when suunto sends receipt for the purchased watch (first time shopping online)?
By receipt I do not mean the purchase email but some pdf of sorts. Oh and I got mine at exactly 10:00 😄

@Hristijan-Petreski you should get a receipt when the watch is shipped. You should also get a tracking code at the same time.

@isazi Cool thanks. I have a dividend from my Health provider that I can use for purchasing health related stuff (sportwatches among them). Even though they are pushing Garmin with some extra offers (the basta…s) 😄

@altcmd difficult to say, I get used to the weight pretty fast, but if I put one on a wrist and the other on another wrist, I can feel one is heavier. But it’s not a blind test, I know one is heavier, so it may just be bias.

@isazi I know. Just that I have had difficulty with heavier watches in the past, more so during sleep. I think I’ll just try them both and make the decision accordingly.

@altcmd I have been wearing the titanium more, also for sleeping, it is quite comfortable. But, except for testing, I do not sleep with a watch anymore.
