For your peace of mind: Hannes Namberger (german pro) just won the Eiger Ultra E101 with a Vertical.
-
They don’t need the battery life we mortals need.
-
I have some questions regarding the issue of solar charging.
How much time corresponds to each bar?
How many bars does it take to charge 1%? -
@taziden @inkognito I much prefer the S9PP over the Vertical for 100 mile and longer races. Easier on the wrist, I do not need maps and sufficient battery life.

Hey !
I have a question about the « petit poucet » screen (« following back the the track drawn »). I had not used it very much before the past few days where it was very useful…
But : I have realized that only the last 10km (my estimation) of the track drawned is visible !
That’s pretty annoying : this morning It would have have been a great help but the beginning of my track was not displayed.
Not very easy to see with this scale on that picture but in green the track is still ok but in the red I was above 10km and the track recorded the morning was not visible anymore.
( not very easy to explain with my poor English ; Don’t know if I am clear enough…)
Did you have the same issue, or did I missed something in the settings ?
Does a soft reset is needed ?
Thanks !

@Tieutieu This is correct. The current zoom is 500m but that may change in the future.
-
@Tieutieu i have this problem too last weekend. i did about 14km hike and the route for the last few km is disappeared start from the trailhead. luckily i know how to walk back to my trailhead without refer to the route. first time happen to me after so many hike with SV watch.
yesterday i did another 14km hike and don’t have this issue. few weeks ago i did more than 20km hike also don’t have this issue.
is this a bug?

@Brad_Olwin that is not the problem : I know the max zoom is 500m and for now I’m fine with that.
My problem is that whatever is the zoom level is, I can’t see more than the last 10km of the track recorded. That makes the « petit poucet » function pretty useless. -

Ok thanks. For me not sure I don’t have the issue since the beginning, as I didn’t had to really use it until the past few days…
I’ll try a soft reset. -

Does the Vertical offer a way to lock the watch when not recording an activity ?
-
@Frederic
unfortunately no… but it’s less critical compared to the S9B -

It works this way : SV screen automatically locks on after one minute if the watch is not used. Pressing any button unlock.
-
@Tieutieu
and during this minute, lots of things may happen
it is the reason of such a question.
Personnaly i don’t care too much, but i may understand that some would like such a “non activity” manual lock. -

@tomasbartko That was some wild sleep you had!
-
@soisan hahaha that made my day

@tomasbartko you pretty much shrunk your whole life in a minute. Nice one!

quick question, the difference between the titanium and steel version is only in the solar charging and case material I suppose? And in a weight, of course. No other hardware difference? Thanks a lot.

@martintrail Exactly this. And the price ofcourse
