Suunto Vertical is here
-
@Frederic
unfortunately no… but it’s less critical compared to the S9B -
@Frederic said in Suunto Vertical is here:
Does the Vertical offer a way to lock the watch when not recording an activity ?
It works this way : SV screen automatically locks on after one minute if the watch is not used. Pressing any button unlock.
-
@Tieutieu
and during this minute, lots of things may happen
it is the reason of such a question.
Personnaly i don’t care too much, but i may understand that some would like such a “non activity” manual lock. -
-
@tomasbartko That was some wild sleep you had!
-
@soisan hahaha that made my day
-
@tomasbartko you pretty much shrunk your whole life in a minute. Nice one!

quick question, the difference between the titanium and steel version is only in the solar charging and case material I suppose? And in a weight, of course. No other hardware difference? Thanks a lot.
-
@martintrail Exactly this. And the price ofcourse
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
You have no need to decode DRM with suunto. There are many music tracks converts like Apple Music Unlocker for you to use. You can download the tracks for free with this tool, and then import them to your suunto. So that you can listen to the songs even without Internet. -
Anyone tried to remove ugly yellow dots on vertical buttons? Just wondering if they go off with alcohol?
-
@krakra No why? Hope you are kidding us here
-
@GiPFELKiND i mean i will not do it since i might damage something by doing it. But definitely i do not like those yellow dots tbh.
-
-
@krakra Maybe this is a solution?

I’m thinking to buy the Suunto Vertical but have doubts for the base model and the solar version.
The solar steel costs now 699€.
Amazon Spain, i can buy the non solar all black version for 520€.
I use my watch for long distance hiking.
Sometimes in forests, during nights …
Can i benefit from the solar version or is it more a gimmick in my use?
Living in Belgium, so i don’t live in a sunny country.
Is the solar version 179€ extra worth it or not?Thanks for advice!
-
@Ultrawalker hard to say for you. With 300 d of sunshine a year here in Colorado USA definitely worth it. Plus, the titanium is worth it for me, much lighter.
-
@Ultrawalker I live in the Netherlands and the days when solar is useful are few, but I bought the solar model anyway cause I can save some battery during summer trips. The non solar battery would still last for 60 hours with GPS though, so if saving those 200€ makes sense for you go for non solar.
-
@Ultrawalker you get a free Sonic headphones if you buy the Titanium solar on the offical site. Maybe this will convince you.
-
@Ultrawalker I live in the Netherlands and the amount of sunlight isn’t really that much. You need direct sunlight to really benefit from it so hikes in summer can be ok, but if you go into the woods the solar panel is almost useless.
The only time I really benefit from it is during windsurfing on a sunny day.
