Software release 2.30.26

SV thought i was awake for 2h30,
For me too. SV and SA show 2 hours and 5 minutes I was awake.
Compared to my Google Nest, the start time on the SV was 10 minutes too late, the end time was identical. Google Nest gave me 25 minutes I was awake. May be SV is showing the REM sleep as awake time?
HRV was 10 points behind the Forerunner 255. I will see what will happen the next days …

First night with the new FW.
Sleep tracking seems pretty more accurate, and also ressources gain is completely changed (previously I never recovered up to 100%)I am 100% ready too, but is this ok? Let’s see how it unfolds, otherwise should we tweak our resting HR because resource algo is changed from Firstbeat to Suunto?
-
@Jonathan-C that was disapointing
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thank you! that seemed to work. the unit is now in a restored state, I will try to see what happened with the update and if I can install it again. Thanks for your help!
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos and team thanks for the hard work. Any idea when the User Guide will be updated on the website?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I think I’m having a similar case to bthomson22, after the unit got to the recovered state, now it displays that the version installed in the unit is 2.25.66.
my suunto app tells that there is a software update available (2.30.26.10641) which was downloaded to the unit, says to check on the watch to continue updating. but on the watch, the “software update” is grayed out, and says that the watch is up to date.
any hints would be really appreciated. thanks! -
@Stefan-Kersting I’m also missing this feature and I’m curious why it is not implemented on the SV.

@Jonathan-C said in Software release 2.30.26:
@Stefan-Kersting I think the full sleep functions on the Race (stages, naps) have not yet been brought over to this update, it is one of the only outstanding features still missing and matches the table from DCR. Something to hope for in the next round!
maybe (just my understanding) the explanation can be read between the lines of such clarification
https://forum.suunto.com/post/131343transition phase from external algos to suunto’s one, which full switch or developpement still not yet done/decided.
-
Has anyone checked whether the turn-by-turn-navigation is still as confused as before?
I fear that nothing has been changed, but I hope that it will soon work like Garmin’s, then I can retire my Fenix.
-
@Egika I have iOS 17.1.1 and beta suunto app (2.29.0 - 13466) , and all notifications have this same icon (bank app, proton mail app, revolut, apple pay , suunto app, home assistant, signal) , Icons are specific only for some apps ?
-
@Mff73 thanks for the link. Good info and explanation.
-
@Mff73 making sure I save that for reference, thanks!

I don’t like the new UI. I admit it seems smoother after this update. But now it requires more user input to see all the data I want. Instead of just clicking middle button to scroll through widgets with all the data now I have to scroll down and open and close each of them individually. Could there be option to change it for the user in next FW update?
-
I have some new icons, up to now Youtube, Mail and X (formerly Twitter). SA beta on Android.
-
@Mff73 I had a similar result. First night sleep tracking with 2.30.26 software on the Vertical and it shows 1 hr 10 min “awake” which was not the case for me. Didn’t get up or toss and turn last night so curious why the watch saw otherwise.
-
Love this update! Good job Suunto team, Thanks!
PRO :
- UI more smooth, beautiful and far better than previous one.
- First mesure of the VFC this night (109ms)
- I did my first interval running session yesterday and the running time estimation seem in line with my performance. This not I did last week-end in my 10k race but it should become more reliable later on.
- The ressources management seems to be far better with no drop when doing some fitness activity
- New watche face is very cool
CONS :
Fitness data are not the same as SA :- TSS 178 vs 182 in SA > NOT OK
- CTL 45 vs 45 in SA > OK
- ATL 45 vs 40 in SA > NOT OK
- TSB 3 vs 0 in SA > NOT OK
Do you have the same issue?
It could be great if we can have more cutomisables watch faces.
It miss the new watch face with dots for activity days (re-design version of it).QUESTIONS
Is the NGP data was improved?
At the end of each activity, in the summary, we have a curve that corresponds either to the altitude difference or the heart rate. Is this defined by the chosen sport mode? And is there a way to change it? -
@Frederick-Rochette
I have the same issues with the fitness data. It’s not the same as in the Suunto App. -
Using the new “Delete all messages” function, does only delete the messages on the watch (SV), but not on the iPhone.
Not sure if this is a bug or “works as designed”?
-
@Frederick-Rochette was correct right after update but same issue after waking up from first sleep using new software. It now seems resolved after I completed a run. Can you check if on the watch the fitness data is shifted by one day?
In my case for example, I have total TSS of 170 this week from Sunday to Wednesday, and TSS of 43 on Saturday alone. Since I set Sunday as start of week, on SA it shows 170 correctly, but on the watch it shows 213 (170+43) with values shifted to the next day on the graph (values from Saturday to Wednesday shown as Sunday to Thursday), if that makes sense. Also applied to other metrics.
Looks like it has been discussed here:

@bthomson22 where you able to fix this? I’m having the exact same problem.
