Anybody else that has this bug: when zooming out I can zoom max to 1,8 km and not 2,0 km
It’s a mile for me…not sure in KMs
I have also noticed now that when you hold the middle button to switch the “action” menu for the map, it is defaulting to the left/right actions (second option) vs the zoom in/out actions (first option).
This is a bit annoying for me. Never do I use the buttons to move the map around.
-
Just checked my map, seems much more logical! I like how you can use the up and down buttons to either move the map up/down or left/right, and now being able to use the buttons to zoom in and out but also still long press the top button to zoom out. A long press of the middle button allows you to toggle between three subsets which alters the functioning of the up and down buttons… clever
FWIW my zoom levels are:
25m
50m
100m
200m
500m
1km
2km -
Its a really good update! Love it so far. But found a bug that makes the heart rate not work during exercise. Shows 84 BPM for the first 10 min, and after that it start to work. Using Polar heart rate sensor( Worked perfect with Suunto 9 and Vertical before update)

And last but not least, I notice an increasing rejection of justified criticism here in the forum, which I absolutely don’t like.
I do agree with you here, although it’s probably not just as black and white as you state. I feel like there’s a number of factors at play:
- A considerable and fairly recent increase in criticism/complaints (which is often repeated and reposted across multiple threads). When you scroll through the recent and unread topics the majority of them now seem to be issues or problems
- A handful of the same posters continually complaining about every little thing that they deem as not being perfect
- Often the comments of criticism come over rather angrily… which is probably going to generate similar responses
- Users don’t seem to be using the search function or simply just referring to the manual before they post
I probably think some of the negative responses have come from people that are starting to get tired of questions that have been answered across numerous threads numerous times, and even more so WHEN THE USER DOES NOT ASK POLITELY!
Let’s be thankful that Suunto hosts this forum for all of us and gives us a voice; I am all for justified criticism, I think it just needs to delivered in the respectful way that you would hope it to be answered

Early stages but new V02 max algo seems great I have to test a few vertical kilometre sessions but so far seems more realistic

Agree with this. Mine has been dropping to a level that is more appropriate based on my current fitness level.
It also matched a two hour trail run with some significant elevation that was much slower to some recent, faster, road runs. Pretty impressed.

@stromdiddily dropped how much?

Aside from sleep tracking having lost its value for the moment, all the other features I rely on have greatly improved. Good stuff! I look forward to the hotfixes that’ll hopefully make this update perfect.

I must say for me HR works perfect now. I always felt its like 20 too high during exercises, but after update its looks very good.

am i going insane???
why can I not zap through my widgets??? no i can only pin one widget and need to go downwards to select one ??? I dont like this change. Can I have the old way? -

Sorry no. This is the way.
You can pin one widget to the upper button (long press) and one to the middle one. The rest of the widgets are down there. It took me a while to get used to it, but once I sorted the widgets and disabled some I am pretty happy with the results.

Today another “little” issue, second time it happens in my SV: touchscreen stopped working (out of activity) and backlitght didn’t power off.
Soft reset “solved” the problem. The good thing is that now I have the recovery metrics synced with App

Not sure if this was a bug or just a fluke but let the watch run down completely (charge icon) since the update. Put it on the charger and left it to do its thing.
Went to check on the level of charge and it black screened on me. Had to do the top button hold for 12 seconds to bring it back to life and the battery showed it was at 90%. Not sure if it went into deep sleep mode being off my wrist but haven’t seen that happen before since I’ve owned it. Then again it’s never been fully depleted either.
Just wanted to ask if anyone else had experienced that behavior. Sent the logs to Suunto just in case.

Disabling and sorting is the way!

3.5 points for me which puts me in line with Runalyze estimate and where I think I’d land on the various VO2 max pace charts. Really happy with it

@Todd-Danielczyk My screen turns off after being on the charger for some period of time. I just need to move it a little, and it comes back on. Not sure if this was what you saw. The behavior is consistent, so is probably a feature.
