@duffman19 just for your comparison i ran this morning wearing both vertical and S3P.

Thanks for posting those. You’re definitely correct, the A3P looks really solid. I’d also be very pleased with that performance. I’d imagine if we zoomed in on those traces that the SV would have a slight advantage as far as precision goes. However, this is probably only relevant to nit-pickers like myself who might use that info for purposes outside of sport (mapping, etc.). For anyone just looking for reliable sports tracking, that older tech certainly is holding its own. Makes me wonder what we’d get if Suunto combined the multi-band chipset with the antenna design of the Ambit…

        RACE FW 2.39.20
Heart rate Sensor stopped working while sleeping. Is there a fix?

@SODIUM I don’t have any trouble with my SRs but a friend using the SR is also concerned. Some night sleep measurement is fine, and 1 out of 2 times a week it doesn’t work.

          Suunto’s devices at home :
          Vertical titanium solar
          Suunto Race S
          S9pp titanium sand
          Suunto Wing
          S9B titanium Ambassador edition, A3P, X6

@SODIUM The only way to fix it is to install the previous version. Contact Suunto support, and they’ll share the instructions.

Has anyone encountered a problem with the map zooming on suunto race since the update…
What I mean is that when navigating I set it to one scale and within a few seconds it jumps to another scale.

Really hope the rolling interface gets rolled back. It’s so much less usable than before. And really ugly as well. It really highlights the less good parts of a MIP display on the vertical. Making it look far worse than it has to

I saw this but had the watch sandwiched between a long sleep shirt and a glove so was assuming my winter glove was moving the dial…haven’t seen the behavior since but will keep an eye on it

For those with Sleep Tracking issues:

                            • In my personal usage, first thing as soon as I wake up, I go onto the Sleep widget (it will probably show wrong data) and wait a couple of second, after which it will update to show the “Good Morning” screen and the correct sleep data. Race S user here and doing this always gave me correct sleep data since I bought the watch.

Either this or go to the activity screen, as if to start a run etc. This often has the same outcome of the ‘good morning’ message appearing.

Downgraded to previous FW and now sleep tracking works again. Definitely a bug in the new FW. Suunto Race here.

Any interaction with the watch will trigger the good morning screen and update the sleep data. Usually what’s enough is pressing the middle button. Sometimes it pops out instantly, sometimes after a few moments.

@pavel-samokha And what about the Suunto 9 Peak (non-Pro version)? Has support for this model been completely discontinued? The last update for the 9 Peak was released several years ago!
I would really appreciate it if “older” models continued to receive support and updates.
Suunto watches are very expensive, so ongoing support should actually go without saying.

                                        Wishing you a great day!

it’s not supported together with the 9Baro as we have all here observed.
