Support and Resale of Movesense HR+
-
Now that Suunto has a shiny new feature with Zonesense its time for a Next Gen HR Belt. It even has a fitting name: https://www.movesense.com/product/movesense-sensor-hr/
It support ECG, Temperature and Movement, so possible features would be:- ECG in Suunto App
- Running Dynamics
- Power for XC Skiing
- Something with temperature?
- …
Its basically the same form factor like the Suunto HR Belt and even uses the same strap. And from the cooperation in the past there still should be the necessary contacs.
So please bring a Next Gen HR monitor like Garmin has it - its already build and waiting for integration! At least as a Suunto Plus App -
I isazi moved this topic from Feature Suggestions
-
Not sure about the change from the feature to the partner category. It looks like Suunto is still selling the Movesense hardware Suunto branded. So I just wish for a new Suunto HR+ belt…
-
@VoiGAS suggestions are only for the app.
-
@isazi Ah, I see. Ok, then maybe its the best place here - thank you
-
@VoiGAS for suggestions on watch features we’re using the “Watches” section, for suggestions about straps this should be the section. Not sure why my answer to you was downvoted

@VoiGAS I noticed in the past as well that the Movesense sensor is very similar to the Suunto one. My Suunto Smart Sensor is made in Finland, too. I wonder if there is more in the Suunto sensor than what is currently utilized: does it also have an accelerometer, for example?
The only thing it broadcasts is battery level and heart rate, see https://forum.suunto.com/topic/2858/smart-sensor-battery-status

@Mauerwegler There is also an HR version (without the “plus”) from Movesense. I think thats the hardware the Suunto branded one also has.
I would love to try the “plus” but you cannot order jist one piece. So the used market is the only choice until Suunto decides to add it to their portfolio… -
the cheaper one I see on the Movesense site is the HR2, which still has “9-axis motion sensor: 3 x accelerometer, 3 x gyroscope, 3 x magnetometer”. It would really nice to implement these additional data into an activity. Movesense sensors also provide an on-board data analysis: “Edge computing: program the sensor to process measured data locally before sending or storing it”, quite impressed by what such small devices can do …

@Stefano-M64 Wow, so many posiibilities. I really hope Suunto will take a look at it
