Update 2.39.34
-
@MirkoP Edit: Sorry, I thought its also available on 9PP

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos is there any update on a timeline for this fix? The last update implied it only needing testing - which was 20 days ago.
-
FYI: I’m still on 2.39.20 with no OHR problems, but battery usage is on another level of broken: 1: Simple walk with default settings (Performance) and Sun S+:
2: Bike ride with Endurance and ZoneSense. Judging from how the recorded path looks, especially in the forest - I doubt the endurance mode was engaged, it was most likely performance (map was disabled):

@Łukasz-Szmigiel Same observation here, I am with version 2.39.34 but was the same with 2.39.20, I have noticed also an excessive consumption since the update and the current autonomy is far from that announced when I bought this watch and that I had with the previous software.
Now, one week autonomy with 4 hours of use in activity recording and without active GPS.
-
@fondueaufromage this is super poor, from 40 to 20 hours.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel The poor and the least explainable is to go from a battery life of 21 days (according to Suunto technical data) to 7 days after only 4 hours of recording (and GPS inactive).
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel How do you get such a great overview of battery consumption?
-
@Kaiphi you can push samples.json (sml file) from Suunto App cache into my crude app:
-
#metoo here I have to charge it at least every 6-7 days even with just about 4-5 hours GPS enabled for walking while currently having to fix my back pain and just can do some physio and walking at the moment. I checked it yesterday evening and it dropped from 34% to 20% in about 17 hours, with no activity tracking. Light are turned of, OHR is in 24/7. I have been updated to 2.39.34 even while updates where turned of. Still can remember times when I did almost forget where I put my charger Would be great if next releases would be just hard ass bugfixing releases.
-
@Ecki-D I have updated today to 2.39.34 (which is a downgrade) and it seems to have fixed the battery drain - at last, for one workout I’ve tracked.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel okay - I have to check with your app. Maybe it is just a feeling that it needs to be charged more often.
-
I’m seeing the same pattern here too, my watch definitly needs to be charged more often than when I got it 2 years ago, I didn’t bother to make acutal measures, but the battery life is roughly half of what I experienced before. I agree with this statement @Ecki-D said in Update 2.39.34: Would be great if next releases would be just hard ass bugfixing releases. 9 Peak Pro is a great watch “as it is right now” if yould just fix the ever increasing amount of bugs and just be done with it, that would be great
-
@Elipsus said in Update 2.39.34: fix the ever increasing amount of bugs Agreed. And certain, minuscule UI gimmicks. But it’s bugs - mostly. I also doubt that the hardware of this watch will allow for much more.

 Hello everyone!
Just found a little bug today: it seems that outdoor watch face isn’t compatible with alarms and they don’t work properly while using this screen. I found my alarm active but no ringtone/vibration was active!
(I suppose this as I changed watch face and with the other one everything was fine).
-
@misu763 that sounds annoying, my alarms do work as expected with the outdoor watch face. I have compass as the outer complication. On Vertical.
-
 @Audaxjoe
S9PP here and I set the outdoor watch face with daylight bar, date(day/number) and moon phase… not a big problem, now I know I have to change it if I need to use the alarm! I hope it helps developers!
-
@misu763 I have the alarm time and seconds as the other complications on mine. It is the only watch face where the seconds seems to stay active - ie normally you loose the seconds count down when the watch isn’t viewed for a while. I don’t seem to see any difference in battery drain. I

I have issues with HRV measurements. It started with the faulty update in 2024. I downgraded the firmware, but it didn’t really help. I was hoping the issue would be fixed with the newest update, but it wasn’t. The current firmware version: 2.40.38 After the firmware update, I reset the watch to factory settings, but this didn’t help either. Any suggestions?
-
I dont know is it somehow related but i had serious issues with my 9 peak pro with HR bug which didnt measured about 40% of usage time. Sleep tracking was imposible to create analytics. I wore my watch on my left hand (fully tattoed up). 2 days ago I put it on my right hand with no tattoes and HR didnt even stopped once. I didnt change anything, no update, no reset, nothing, just switched hand
