      Hi,

after the update, the accentuated color doesn’t seems to work on some of the watchfaces, it remains white.

@Jeffrey-Tillack my wife’s Race S doesn’t count around 80% of her steps, if we go out together on a walk and I make 10,000 steps in my Race, she only gets around 2500/3000 on her Race S.

We have already tried switching watches and the result is the same, Race S undercount most of the steps

@sartoric I hope there are many people who test the firmware, but looking back the last month I would say, they didn‘t test enough 😢

@Łukasz-Szmigiel The update has already been rolled out to everyone, at least from the number of phone calls I receive.😊

Any information about when the new watch faces will be available?

Here is my quick feedback after just coming back from a 44km road bike ride :

                • even if i’m a reaaaallllly fast rider, the 20 meters turn notification was useless at every turning point. It arrives to late ; I was already turning whe the alert was diplayed
                • no more full screen alert might be a good idea, but I missed it

I would have rather kept the full screen notification (unless when two turning point would be distanced from less than 100m) and have a reminder maybe for bike 50 or 40m before turn instead of those 20meters.

For the rest, watch works flowly !
Let’s test further, with trail running when my ankle will be back

Exactly! Looks like most of us agree that a single notification at 20m just isn’t enough for anything over a walking speed. I thought for sure that the omission of the initial ~100m notification was a bug or mistake, but, according to this chart, it is as intended.

It feels like Suunto is trying to reinvent something that doesn’t need reinventing. Just copy what everyone else does and give us two turn notifications: one at enough distance to give us a heads up and one at the turn as a reminder.

I haven’t installed this update yet, so I haven’t been able to test the new TBT mode.

                    But doing the math:

                    · Running at approximately 5 min/km, the turn notification (20-25 m before) should appear about 6-7 seconds before the turn.

                    · Riding MTB at approximately 20 km/h, the turn notification (20-25 m before) should appear about 4-5 seconds before the turn.

                    · Fasteners, at approximately 30 km/h, the notification would appear just 3 seconds before the turn.

                    🙄

And if you ride with a higher speed, the notification will appear after you take the turn😆 🤣

                        But doing the math:

a “perfect” implementation would require to compute the average speed in order to show the notification with a given time interval (e.g. 10s) before the turn, instead of a given distance (e.g. 20m)

OMG! That´s exactly one of the reasons why I left the Garmin and buy Suunto. And now, first update, bugs in beta and after few hours we got release to everyone.
But OK, this is just small BUG. Hope it will be better next time and longer time for beta testing. I like my Race, instead of F7Pro which I sent back for warranty.

@Jan-Suchánek like you said it a small “bug”. So far, with 3 watches updated and few testing, this update seem quit stable. Let’s test the improvements !

@enriqueescoms Thanks for the maths 😄. I’ve done two running activities with the new TbT and the reality is the notifications are nearly worthless even at slow trail running speeds. The 20m distance is dependent on the accuracy of the watch’s GNSS (which is still crazy good) and the accuracy of the route. The watch could be 5-10m off at times (rarer these days) and routes and trail maps can be even farther off in places. In such scenarios, that baked-in 20m threshold is useless.

                                Hello,
After Update to 2.40.38 I can’t enable Wi-Fi on my Race S, both from phone or watch, so I can’t download offline maps.
Is there anyone who has the same problem?

After analyse of my lunch ride, the « small elevation peaks » that I’ve been experimenting since few weeks, due to wind probably, are still there. (I didn’t had such things the past months).

Here are 3 sections where it was either pure uphill or downhill.

A note on readability - the timer displayed (if it is running) when activating the screen is definitely smaller than it used to be. I can’t recall if it had the little white vertical line next to it before, but it’s now more in line with the barometric pressure font size, albeit harder to read. I’d also suggest that it has shifted a few too many pixels up in this version of the K14 watch face, it’s notably a jump up a few pixels from the usual complication there, or at least appears that way due to the small timer signal above it.

But what about activities that have fast changing speed like mountain biking? Idea is nice but the mixture of both distance and time of display would be the best.
