            A bunch of restarts (phone, app, permissions…) seems to work for a while. When it’s not working anymore, restart of everything again.
            Not ideal, should be investigated more.

              @Cinzia-Araosta I have the same problem, really frustrating how many bugs and problems this watch has. I’ve never been able to use the music at all. Could someone explain do I have to do this in app or iPhone’s settings??

                @emilia_v What bugs and problems are so frustrating? It is likely a phone issue with the music. What phone do you have? What OS and what version? What version of SA are you using? I have an iPhone on the beta version and music works perfectly with the Suunto S. I doubt this is a watch issue.

                  @Brad_Olwin if you search your will see this is reported with various watches phones and operating systems.

                  A phone restart normally works for me, lasts a few days then watch stops controlling the music. It shows you what is playing but nothing else works.

                  I think as it is so broad an issue it probably is watch related.

                  I gave up months ago trying to get it to work and just use my phone…

                  For the record. Android. Pixel 6a. Vertical.

                  Just listening to music now. Everything is greyed out 🤷🏻‍♂️

                    @Audaxjoe since iPhones seem to work with no issues whatsoever, I would argue it is phone firmware and possibly hard ware.

                      Have an Android phone and had the same problem with my suunto peak. I was recently playing around with the music controls and did a restart on the suunto app in the phone. Then the music controls worked again. I think the problem is the suunto app for Android and have been there for years.

                          a) HR sensor is stopping just in the middle of an activity or in the beginning very often. It just suddenly stops. this happens especially if I am using Suunto guided running but also just in Yoga or some other activities.

                          b) the sleep tracking is just stopping out of sudden, in the morning there is no tracking.

                          c) the third big issue is the music control. I always listen to music on my runs etc and this is really annoying and inconvenient. I’ve had this watch for 3 months ant d there are constant issues. I am probably gonna be returning this but it’s annoying because otherwise I love it.

                          I have iPhone SE. I don’t think this is a phone issue since the music control is working out of activity mode.

                            Same on my Race S running on the latest software version. My Phone is a Google Pixel 8 on the latest Android version.

                            Looking forward to a fix 🙂

                              I just bought a Suunto Race and I’m experiencing similar issues but pause, play and forward buttons work most of the time.
                              The volume control never works… Shows the volume diagram but doesn’t respond to volume changes.

                              I’m also noticed that there’s some clash between the new live tracking feature and the volume controls in general.

                              I’m on an Oneplus Nord 4 with Android 15…

                              Quite frustrating… And the old Polar pacer pro I had never had any issue with music controls with the same phone.

                              In parallel when connected to the new live tracking app - with suunto plus - it happens that music controls are greyed out. Also cannot get my device ID to be identified in the live tracking portal…
