Saving exercise....
-
@morskilav I lost data (exercise) on Suunto 9 baro…
-
@nseslija it never happened to me. I’d always do watch reset via upper button and excercise is never lost. But if it is as you say then this bug should be escalated to severe one
-
Mmmm very strange. Never happened to me but today YES. It took 10’ saving exercise after I choose feeling in the exercise. After 10’ with the saving screen the watch didn’t show me the typical stats. It went directly to the watchface. At least the exercise was there and not lost
-
FYI I’m using a S9. Custom sport Mode. Feeling ON. Polar OH1 and stryd
But this is not the first time I run with this setup. Never happened to me until today
-
@jorgefd78 I have similar setup to yours i.e S9baro, Stryd snd Scosche Rhythm34 (HRM). I am not 100% sure but I think I hade a case where Feelings were ON and after workout I did not choose any emoji (simply pressed middle button to save) …and my watch stuck into endkess saving loop
-
@jorgefd78 It’s like coronavirus. Lays dormant for a week or two, and then – wham! – you find yourself intubated on the ICU bed coughing your lungs out Well, that was probably too graphic, but if it gets Suunto to look into the issue…
I suppose the point I tried to make: I run for months with external sensors and never had issues. But with a firmware updates after mid last year, something changed. After a while, the issue kicks in. Especially when iffy BLE broadcast like WHOOP gets involved.
-
@NickK totally correct! I read this post the other day and think to myself “wow! it’s strange. never happened to me” and yesterday when I realize that I was having the same error I though… “it’s not possible”

Maybe in the end it will also appear in suunto developers and they will fix it

@Maryn ahahaha

Hi, same problem for me. It happened twice, after a custom activity, with Polar hr belt. Feeling was on and I indicated it. The second time, I wait for 2 or 3 hours but it didn’t help. I had to reboot and loose the activity.
Did it happened to someone with a standard activity ? I can come back to basic activities while waiting for a fix…
-
the same happened to me today with spartan WHR baro for the first time - I did several runs in this configuration without any problem. custom sport mode, h10 belt, feeling on and chosen. after choosing feeling it ends in saving… animation, buttons were vibrating. after half an hour I did 12s reset as I found that it will save my data, but the activity is lost. on top of it, suunto APP (testflight) was not able to push agps to watch, so I had to connect it to computer. I sent logs to suunto - log id: 405282518053323 @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I found on the forum you were asking for it…
-
@dombo I’ve got the same problem my spartan ultra keeps freezing and the workout is lost after a reset. NOT good in these days when most of the races are virtual especially in series where you loos everything if one race is lost…
Is there really no action on this???
I’m being forced to switch brand if this can’t be resolved soon in any way
-
@JonasJkp
Do you have turn off feelings? -
@Saketo-Nemo I think that feeling turning on isn’t so important. I have it always on and watch freeze sometimes (about once in two or three months).
-
The only time that has happened to me is just when I inadvertently turned off the feelings.
What band are you using?
Have you already tried with a soft or hard reset? -
I’m using Polar OH1. Soft reset was done after each freezing. Hard reset about two weeks ago so I will see if it will help.
-
@Saketo-Nemo yes i Have.
Bit sometimes the watch seems to change settings such as pool leangth etc. it may also change feelings but I’m not sure.However the response from Suunto is not too notch anymore.

Dears, any update on this? I was reporting logs few times for this issue. Today it happens to me again. Unfortunately, today everything went wrong and my activity was lost.
Yes, I have feeling enabled
Yes, I entered feeling when activity finishes.
Yes, I did turn off belt (Wahoo TICKR FIT) before actually ending the activity (this is recommended way as I learnt previously)When it happens previously, usually, watch restarted themselves after few minutes and activity was saved and I was happy. Today, watch were saving for more than 3 hours. I restarted them by myself and activity was lost.
Today it was just easy run, but if I would lost some of my races or key training, that would really hurt me…
Watch - SSHWR Baro
Belt - Wahoo Tickr FITSo, any (good?) news, please?
Thanks and have a good time!
P.S.
It’s a pity that this topic is discussed in about 4 or 5 threads, it’s hard to decide which is the right one then…mentioning this just to be on the safe side, because - yes, I did search the forum… -
@nseslija There is some kind of bug regarding HRM straps. My bug was a different bug, but it seems related. When I use a Suunto HRM Movesense strap on my Suunto 9, and I manually turn off the watch HRM while recording an exercise, the activity will not sync to the Suunto app. It turns out that I have to leave the watch HRM set to ‘on’ and it will sync. The watch software automatically turns off the watch HRM if an external strap HRM is paired. So I am just guessing your error is in the same ‘family’ as the error I experienced - the watch software / app is not able to accommodate certain patterns in HRM data.

@grantdoug what platform ? IOS / Android ?
Can you tell me the steps to reproduce this one with the latest software ? Thanks.
