@bulkan yeah at the moment the alti profile on the Peak is a bit flattened, probably due to difference in screen size.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos You’re right. Maybe it is interesting for downhill kayaking (or how is that sport called?)

White water kayaking. The problem there is you get a lot of water on the sensor, sometimes submerging it etc.
You still get a good idea of the altitude profile and that is the reason why it makes sense to keep altitude data for kayaking. This is the way it is šŸ‘

@egika I have to check with the S9P sensor and water. To me it looks it works better as the sensor doesn’t get water stuck in

@egika yes, what I would do is similar to what already happens with other sports such as MTB, where you have different specializations. When choosing Kayaking I would like to have two profiles: flat water, white water.

for white water kayaking uphills could be filtered and maybe there’s a reasonable algorithm to detect submerging the watch: unless you take a huge waterfall drop, there’s no reason to suddenly rise the pressure.
Maybe it sounds a bit ignorant as rivers follow a certain topography and I bet some kayakers would like to record this, too… but what if only start and end alti is recorded and delta is the descent?

we do do that. But water sticks and influsences

Last update and charge of the watch was 6 days exactly ago, the morning of 26th May.

                        • All on (24/7 tracking etc) except notifications. Standbylight always on, on adoptive mode. No raise to wake as it’s not needed for this config.
                        • White watchface
                        • 4h of GPS with Gallileo (consumes more than GPS only)
                        • 2 FW update on the 26th and 28th of the month (transfer FW via BT + install )
                        • Several checks on the watch and playing around for pics etc
                        • DND from 22pm to 8am
                        • Several pairings with SA due to development

I am now at 29% battery left šŸ™‚

                        I suppose its good.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos how often does sensor check daily heart rate, every second or within certain time interval?

@dulko79 some time interval not every second. I dont know the specifics but it should be around 5-10mins. It does have somewhat a cleverness there. Also it will change this a bit in the future.
But I dont think that OHR is the main drainage in battery on the s9P.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos cleverness, like if you are sitting still at the desk working, then you get up and start walking. Peak then changes sampling rate for hr based on movement?

@dulko79 Unfortunately I dont know the specifics. What I do know is that atm there are a few features missing. For example ā€œsensingā€ that the watch is not worn / tight (sensor skin contact). That should come asap.

@mff73 you always have the last FW in the watch to be able to revert.

You can actually reset the watch without SL

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Since you are appearing to be using the S9P as your daily driver, I have a few questions if I may:

                                            • How does adaptive backlight works under DND? Currently S9B dims the screen during DND, is this preserved or the screen will be made dim regardless of DND if it’s dark and adaptive mode is used?

                                            • What about sounds (beeping) during notifications? Anything done there? With S9B there’s no way to disable sound for notifications only. So, either you hear a beep every time a notification comes, or use DND that defies the purpose (and makes the screen dim in the process), or disable all sounds, which also carries over to activities

                                            • I’m still seeing zombie notifications on 2.14.16 and the only way to cure it appears to be restarting the watch that resets Body Resources to 50%, which reminds me…

                                            • Any improvements to Body Resources sometimes funky behavior? On 2.14.16 firmware, I had it drop from 91% to below 50% in two hours the watch was on the charger. Not cool. The other day Resources were about 20%, I went for 50 minutes weight lifting, and the value jumped to 45% 😰 Who knew some flies, curls, and cleans can supercharge you?

                                            • Last but not least, are we getting S9B sleep tracking (awake/light/deep) or S7 more advanced phase analysis (awake/light/deep/REM)?

As always, thanks a lot for any insights.
