@tomas5 I am more than satisfied, the S9P works perfectly for running and walking.

@tomas5 Well I am one person that is satisfied! The LifeQ sensor on the S7 and the S9P have completely replaced my HR belt. They are good enough for intervals and all of my training. Below is a screenshot of hill interval HR with the S9P and S7 worn on opposite wrists.

I am a person that ditched the belt for the accuracy of the s9P. Ask me about intervals uphills or whatever. Once you find the spot it’s done.

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos How did you find right spot? I got reading 149 bpm while easy walking for more than 5 minutes. It was definitely not that high. It should have been around 100 bpm. It started at 90 bpm for few minutes and then jumped…

@uranfl well I just wear the watch and have it not too tight but not very loose.

If you have it tight it’s less blood flow.

@brad_olwin @isazi i have personal experience only with S5 and my colleage has older S9. Maybe S9P and S7 is much better in this. But S5 or older S9 work well only sometimes in perfect conditions. But i can tell only for my expercience and some experience of some friends who complained about suunto or garmin WHR too.

For reference, neither the S9baro nor the S5 OHR work for me, both are terrible and I always wore a belt. The S7 and S9P are completely different and I do not need a belt!

@brad_olwin that’s great. Hope it will get into less expensive watch over time. Because S9P is really too expensive watch for me.

I noticed that the HR was also totally wrong during the day but a hardreset improved it a lot. During activities I now wear a belt(but I will check if the reset alao improved the activity HR) I am aware that wrist HR can’t be that accurate but considering the price it is slightly disappointing.

Does anyone know how frequent the HR gets updated when measuring 24/7? I noticed that sometimes when swiping to HR it is wrong at zhe beginning but after some time it ia correct

@patrick-0 It appears that HR measures are taken every 12 minutes or so, I guess that is also what causes the graph of your 24/7 HR not too be all that smooth.

As for the initial inaccuracy of HR reading when you first enter the HR and SPO2 widget - I noticed the same thing. Indeed, every time I click down and check my HR I noticed that it is unreasonably high and then settles after 30 seconds or so. The annoying part of this is that all those spikes are recorded ; hence in reviewing your HR graph for the day I have all those wrong readings.

I really wished I could activate a 1 second recording of HR; I am assuming it could help with more precise measurement of stress etc.

@giacomo-laffranchini I’ve wondered about this, perhaps the initially displayed value is historic? For me & most people I’m at rest when electing to check it so maybe it makes sense that it reads higher than expected then settles down under observation, I’ve naturally stopped walking, etc to check the rate,

I do think the LifeQ sensor is a huge improvement which is why I didn’t use my belt on Thursday for an activity, although I still do for training.

@jmoneygrip I agree. I also found that the OHR is fairly accurate during activity. It is reasonably close ( at least during trail runs) to what I record on my chest HR monitor. I am satisfied from that standpoint.

What annoys me are all the huge spikes in HR readings at rest and during the night. I do not probably meet the characteristics of the perfect target customer for the S9P; hence, I may care about wellness data from the watch ( and HR reading outside an activity or training) more than the average customer. However I still think this is an issue as these readings may affect sleeping scores and other metrics.
