I’ll explain: whenever I’ve trained with my belt on and I try to train without it, the green light for the wrist HR reading does not work, I have to turn off the watch completely and turn it back on in order to make the Wrist HR work… Is there any solution to this? I think it might be a bug but I’d like to find a solution. Thanks a lot!

As @sartoric asks, which is your watch model?

With Suunto watches you can’t switch from OHR to belt or the other way around mid activity. If you start with the belt, you must finish the activity to switch to the wrist OHR, even if your belt runs out of battery won’t be any switch. As default the watch will always use the belt over the wrist OHR but if you are in the activity screen (waiting for the GPS lock) and the watch detects first the wrist OHR won’t use the belt (the belt must be active before you go to the activity screen).

BTW, in the activity options Wrist OHR option has to be activated.

@cosme-costa wrist option is always activated. I might have not explained it properly. I don’t try to switch between activities. I’ll put an example: First activity: Running, I do it with my belt, all ok. Next day, I go to the gym, without the belt, then my watch “bugs” and does not turn on the HR sensor unless I restart it… It seems to happen always after I do an activity with the belt, if the next one I try to use my wrist, it won’t work…

@jofre100 I have the SV, I just have checked and it works as expected. This morning I run with the belt and just now faked a run and the wrist OHR was working.

Maybe some one (testers included) with a S9PP can check it and see if they can reproduce your issue.

@cosme-costa thank you. We’ll wait for someone to test it… I’ve checked for updates and I’m in the latest version (just in case someone asks)

@jofre100 Can you explain or provide photos of the issue. I have a 9PP on production firmware and do not have this issue. How do you know wrist HR is not on?
In the sport mode have you scrolled down to make sure wrist HR is on? This should be left on all the time, the belt will take precedence over wrist HR even if wrist HR is on.

@Brad_Olwin I’ve checked if wrist hr is on and it is, I never turn it off and this issue only happens after I made a session with the belt, the next sessions with the wrist I’ll have to fully restart my watch, kinda annoying…

I know wrist HR is not working because if you look under the watch you don’t see the green light that usually tracks your hr…

It feels like it’s a bug because when you use the belt the hr wrist does not work automatically (as it should be) but then it’s like the watch forgets to turn the wrist HR on for later measurements, it solves on restart, so it’s definitely not a configuration issue.

@jofre100 Since you have done soft resets I would attempt a hard reset. But first, are you using custom or stock sport mode?

@Brad_Olwin update: i’ve done a hard reset and the problem is still there… I don’t know what else to do… Pretty annoying to reboot every time I use the belt…
