Update 2.39.34
-
Is there a +/- ETA for the bugfix release? Like weeks or months?
-
@Francesco-Pagano Raise to wake is off, backlight low, standby off.
-
@supergroover and in control panel, is backlight also off?
-
@isazi After the updates I missed that there is another setting for backlight. In control panel backlight was on. That should reduce battery usage. Thank you very much.

I did a downgrade after the problems with 2.39.20 started and turned automatic updates of.
Yesterday morning I woke up with the watch telling me it has been updated.
The automatic updates are still of.
Weird
Well as it should be almost the same as the FW before 2.39.20 I expected just the usual glimpses like Autostop reseted and backlight but this time I had to restart the watch twice to get gps working again.
Anyway, will look forward for the next update. -
@Ecki-D seems like the same in modus „offline“. Doesn’t matter If you switch to online or offline. The watch always is online.

-
Any news about the timing of the “new” update?will it include the features/fix as just realise for race/vertical?Thanks!
-
@MirkoP Edit: Sorry, I thought its also available on 9PP
-
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos is there any update on a timeline for this fix? The last update implied it only needing testing - which was 20 days ago.
-
FYI: I’m still on 2.39.20 with no OHR problems, but battery usage is on another level of broken:
1: Simple walk with default settings (Performance) and Sun S+:
2: Bike ride with Endurance and ZoneSense. Judging from how the recorded path looks, especially in the forest - I doubt the endurance mode was engaged, it was most likely performance (map was disabled):

@Łukasz-Szmigiel Same observation here, I am with version 2.39.34 but was the same with 2.39.20, I have noticed also an excessive consumption since the update and the current autonomy is far from that announced when I bought this watch and that I had with the previous software.
Now, one week autonomy with 4 hours of use in activity recording and without active GPS. -
@fondueaufromage this is super poor, from 40 to 20 hours.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel The poor and the least explainable is to go from a battery life of 21 days (according to Suunto technical data) to 7 days after only 4 hours of recording (and GPS inactive).
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel How do you get such a great overview of battery consumption?
-
@Kaiphi you can push samples.json (sml file) from Suunto App cache into my crude app:
-
#metoo here I have to charge it at least every 6-7 days even with just about 4-5 hours GPS enabled for walking while currently having to fix my back pain and just can do some physio and walking at the moment.
I checked it yesterday evening and it dropped from 34% to 20% in about 17 hours, with no activity tracking. Light are turned of, OHR is in 24/7.
I have been updated to 2.39.34 even while updates where turned of.
Still can remember times when I did almost forget where I put my charger
Would be great if next releases would be just hard ass bugfixing releases.
-
@Ecki-D I have updated today to 2.39.34 (which is a downgrade) and it seems to have fixed the battery drain - at last, for one workout I’ve tracked.
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel okay - I have to check with your app. Maybe it is just a feeling that it needs to be charged more often.
