Watch Faces: Not Compatible with Watch ?!
-
My favorite watch face is “Classic Analog” and I’ve been using it for nearly a year. I just got my watch back from warranty replacement and now it says this watch face is not compatible with my watch. Several others are also marked this way.
The app gives no explanation. Does anyone know why? -
@MRC01
I would just try a remove reinstall
could be something related to versioning… but is the watch the same one ?
-
@sartoric Yep, I already did that, and restarted the watch. Several times. It’s stubbornly insisting these watch faces are incompatible with the watch.
The warranty replacement watch is the exact same make & model as before, just a new one. -
@MRC01
but not the same serial, I suppose.did you pair the new one to use SA ?
-
@sartoric What is SA? The new watch is paired to the Suunto App on my phone, and everything else works. It just won’t use several of the watch faces.
-
@MRC01 try reinstalling the App
-
@isazi Reinstall which app? The Suunto app on my phone? Or the app (watch face) on the watch?
The Suunto app on my phone is working fine. I’ve already tried reinstalling the watch face on the watch, several times. -
@MRC01 the app on your phone
-
@isazi The app on my phone did not change. It recognized the replacement watch, downloaded 16 GB of maps, updated watch firmware, and a couple of exercises I did, and lets me install several of the watch faces.
In short, the app is already working 100%. If all of this already works in the app, how could reinstalling it fix anything?
-
maybe it’s better if you contact Suunto support.
use the shortcut in your app -
@sartoric Does this mean that all of the watch faces that appear in the app should work?
Some do, but others do not. Specifically, watch faces the app says are incompatible with the watch:
Modern Analog
Ocean
Vertical
Weekly TrainerPS: “Classic Analog” just started working. I did not change anything. I guess the 17th try is a charm!

It will start syncing from scratch. Just try it. Isazi knows what he is talking about.
(anyway . I just see that it is now working for you)
